This is a nice steak house restaurant in Bardstown, KY. We were there for lunch (just after 11:00) so it wasn’t very busy. The food was very good and the waitress was exceptional. I would go more often if we didn’t live 1 hour and 15 minutes away. However, we travel the Bluegrass Parkway from time to time, going to Tennessee, so we should be stopping again. My nephew says the meatloaf is excellent. Give this restaurant a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Great food! Our server Lakin was attentive and did a great job as server. TV’s were a bit too loud and there were only a few guests. That is why the 4 for atmosphere. Because we live about 2 hours away, it may be a few months but would definitely go back here. We were also happy that the prices were not too high compared to other restaurants. Thank you again Lakin for your hospitality! Joe and Laura

When I get hungry for a hamburger, I want a man’s burger. It has to meet certain requirements in order for me to really give it an A+ rating and the Lonesome burger at Colton’s meets all the requirements . In fact, it exceeds those requirements. It’s probably called the Lonesome burger because it’s lonely at the top and this burger is at the top in the burger world. In fact, this is the stuff that burger lore is made of.
First off I want a burger that when I eat it and get done I am filled up. I don’t want to buy two burgers. I just want one manly sized Burger. Secondly, I don’t want the bun to disintegrate when I’m eating the hamburger so I’m left holding pieces of meat and condiments. Since the bread couldn’t stand the load and fell apart in my hand. This hamburger bun meats those requirements and standards.
Thirdly, I want quality beef and in this case. Colton’s actually grinds up the leftovers when they cut their steaks and it ends up as their hamburger meat, so you’re actually getting a steak burger in reality.
Then I want one side and one side only that goes with hamburgers . In my opinion that is a generous large size of french fries. I also want endless supplies of ketchup for those fries and nothing else.
The Coltons burger in Bardstown, Kentucky, in my humble opinion is one of the best burgers you can buy. I think the whole meal with iced tea came to $17 and that’s not bad..
If you go to a lesser place, you’ll end up eating two burgers and getting fries that are small and buying a drink so you spend the same amount of money. If you’re hungry for a manly burger, one that a man would make and eat for himself at home this is the burger that you want to eat in my humble opinion. Now food is a subjective experience and this is my opinion only and your mileage may but if you wanna give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Kimmy was our server and she was amazing!! She was on top of everything and gave us the best service we’ve had in a very long time. We came on Valentine’s Day and my wife was very impressed so happy wife, happy life!!
Our food was literally cooked to perfection, especially the steaks. I don’t think any other steakhouse will ever compare. I will have to come here to get a steak from now on and will be recommending this location to everyone.

Food was great, service even better! Steak cooked perfectly, fish and chips were delicious, and the best onion blossom we’ve had in a while! I think our servers name was Karla? I hope so, she deserves recognition! Great experience.

We were seated quickly and our waitress’s name was Elaine. We ordered fried green beans a with spicy ranch dressing/ranch dressing for our appetizer. It was delicious and worth trying for an appetizer. Next was our side salad with Thousand Island dressing. It was fresh and crisp. The croutons were a bit hard but otherwise very good. For main course, I had the Blackened Salmon with a baked potato, butter and sour cream. The salmon was properly cooked and not overly seasoned. The potato was done and hot all the way through. Over all, the experience was good and our waitress was very attentive. I would most definitely recommend Colton’s Steak House & Grill. Side note…the facility appeared to be clean inside and out. Just need to repair the broken pole for US flag that could have fallen during the recent storm and high winds.

Read all of the reviews, but tried it anyway. To begin, we had to wait to be seated- restaurant about empty-young man at front acted troubled to seat us and needed to return to his cell phone. We sat down and ordered- sweet teas- they are not sweet at all. We ordered a blooming onion and entree. The waitress then brought us someone else’s bill before we got our food! She wasn’t rude just very distant. Received our food and no onion until we reminded the waitress. Received rolls right before food. Small flies are in the restaurant just as stated by another review. Food was decent. 6-8 people waiting to be seated when we leave and the young man no where in sight. Colton’s needs an overhaul.

The steak was cooked perfectly, however, it was a little bland. Asking for the bold, Southwest seasonings, called their del Rio ribeye, I would have expected it to be a little more flavorful. After adding salt and some of their seasoning salt that they had on the table, it was absolutely wonderful.
The green beans were canned and I guess there’s nothing else to say about that.
The steamed veggies were cooked correctly, although the two small carrots that they gave me were dry and old. The veggies were also bland. There is no butter on them so I asked for butter. Once I got butter and salt and pepper on it they were good.
The staff was extremely friendly, the prices were average and we got there 35 minutes before it closed and they were very happy to have us. So overall I rated a five-star but I would give the food a four star.

We came here because Mom wanted your potato soup, but you were out of it. My daughter wanted the pasta but you were out of it also. The Caesar salad she got instead was not good. The baked potato Mom got instead of the soup was not good either.
The server was very nice and apologetic for the the trouble, and it certainly wasn’t her fault. But we were certainly disappointed in the food.
