We loved our cookie dough sundae! Great toppings and a nice bonus getting a discount for paying with cash. We will definitely be revisiting!

One of the highlights of my Denver trip was eating this frozen custard! A cute walk-up with so many custard concretes and shakes to choose from . I ordered the Mountaineer with strawberries instead of raspberries, and served with lots of hot fudge. It’s the perfect summer treat after visiting the Pikes Peak or Red Rock canyon!

Delicious ice cream and excellent service! They even offer special ice cream for dogs, which is such a thoughtful touch.

In a day and age where it feels like customer service has completely gone by the wayside, I am in awe of this place. Not only is the custard delicious and well priced, but the gentleman working was so KIND. Our kiddo spilled a milkshake all over just a few minutes after leaving the counter. He helped us get it all cleaned up and then brought out a brand new milkshake after half had spilled.
A great little spot to grab a treat as you walk through the streets of Manitou Springs.

Tried this spot for the first time today, we ordered the Java avalanche and the thin mint avalanche. Both were absolutely delicious, we also really got a kick out of the joke for the tip. Really friendly service ! The prices there were also very reasonable.

We’ve come here multiple times during our trip and each time have been met with exceptional service and delicious custard at a great price point. Our favorites were the Single Track and the Mountaineer avalanches, but you really can’t go wrong with anything. The staff are super friendly, quick, and accommodating—they even tell jokes for tips which is a fun touch and adds to the charm of this little shop. We will definitely be back!

Update: After hearing back from the owners, I realize that they are new to the business (less than 1 month) and are still learning the ropes, so to speak. I do believe in extending grace in situations like this, so I bumped the original score to 4 stars instead of 3 with the belief that the speed of service will improve over time.
Original post: After reading several reviews, we decided to try this custard place.
I parked near the park, so we had a 5 minute walk there. Since it is paid parking, I went to the one of the parking machines and saw you can get 30 minutes of free parking, which I selected, figuring we’d have plenty of time.
When we arrived, the line was long, maybe 10-12 people. I soon realized that this line wasn’t really moving. After standing there for 20 minutes, I left my family in line, walked back to the car, drove around looking for a closer spot and got back to my family. There were still people in front of them.
When we got to the window, I realized why. There was one person both taking the orders and making each item. Another person was cleaning and doing other things around the kitchen area. That person did help a little bit with our order.
So how was the custard? It was good, but it didn’t stand out to me as anything special. We ordered two Turtle Splits and one custom Avalanche with cookie dough. As I said, everything was good. I’ll also add that it was a very fair price. (Note: The menu prices are cash prices; there is a small fee to use credit card.)
Seating options were limited around the side of the building. When we were ready to leave, we tried to find a trash can. They didn’t have one that we could find, so we put everything in one of the public trash cans nearby.
So would I recommend this place? If you like custard and don’t mind a long wait, absolutely. If there’s no wait, then definitely give it a try!

Update: We had to go back the literally the next day for the Thin Mint Avalanche. What’s that? Think Dairy Queen blizzard, but waaaay better and fresher! We got to learn a little more about the owner. He’s a former professional athlete (marathon runner) who has traveled all over the world. He said his favorite spot running was in Kenya. How neat is that? He now runs this shop, doing what he loves and if you’re lucky, he’ll make you laugh by naming your ice cream (we ate “Bob” and “Steve”) and share its story on its journey to you.
Previous post: This is a cute shop with very tasty and well-priced frozen treats in Manitou Springs. The owner (?) made our fresh items quickly. The frozen custard was great! Plan to stop by one more time before my trip is over!

Tried this place out for the first time a few days ago! It is really delicious frozen custard! I had a cup of vanilla/chocolate custard with brownies and cheesecake! The owner is so friendly and if you leave a tip, he will tell you a joke! Its a one man show, and he does it well and with a smile. Excited to return more this summer!
