I ordered a tuna salad sandwich on wheat. It came with a slice of tomato and little bit of shredded lettuce, scarce little bits of egg and a pickle wedge on the side. It was tasty but it would be better if they didn’t spread it so thin. I also got a bag of chips. They give you a 2 ounce bag, which is bigger than subway and other sandwich places. So that is a plus. Their ice machine has the “good ice” for the ice lovers. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff was professional but friendly. I spent a little over 11.00 for the meal.

Think back to the good ole days. This is that kind of sandwich shop! You are going to see a whole lot of regulars here at this location. Super good sandwiches and even better folks running the show. We love this place and are happy that its such a staple to the surrounding community. We really do love the people here as much as the food! Stop by and become a regular or at least swing by and grab a good sandwich.

I understand this is a gem for locals and people love the sandwiches but my experience wasn’t the same. The customer service was good the atmosphere was quiet, but my sandwich was disappointing. I ordered a turkey club on sourdough, toasted but, after our pricey sandwich came out it looked like something I could make at home and next time I want a sandwich, I’ll just make it at home. It wasn’t toasted at all, came out in like 3 mins which tells me they didn’t take the time to make it. I understand fast service but I’m sorry, I was not happy with my sandwich. The lady upfront was very polite though. So yes, next time I’ll just stay home and make my sandwich. But on a positive note, the sweet tea was perfect.

Working in Baytown for 3 days. Stopped here each day for lunch. The sandwiches were awesome. My favorite was the Cuban. The staff here was awesome as well. They gave me great suggestions all three days. I will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Great local spot!! I was going up and down Garth Road, looking for a place to get a bite. I saw this place, and something drew me to it. I’m so glad I ate here! The staff are so friendly and not faking it. Genuinely nice with a smile. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and a cup of Cilantro Chicken Rice soup. Sandwich was a monster! Haha. Had to eat it with a fork. The roast beef was mouthwatering, and the gravy was divine. The soup was full of flavor and zest. I will be coming back!

I give this place 5 stars simply because of its existence. Little local sandwich spots like this do not exist anymore and this one has been around since 1981. Their sandwiches are fresh and their customer service is friendly- can’t ask for much more than that!

Ladies, try their chicken salad sandwich or salad and guys go and try you a good ole’ BLT.

So, I’m going to redo my review from a few years ago, because man.. we are frequent flyers at this restaurant! I’m telling you, everything me and my family have had from this restaurant has been amazing and delicious! We absolutely love the large BLT it’s so delicious! The bacon is cooked perfectly and everything else just falls into place! You also can’t go wrong with the chicken salad sandwich or tuna salad sandwich both are also my personal favorites! I have also had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was so amazing too! The baked potatoe soup is to die for! I also love the Chicken and rice soup! I swear I’m not sponsored or paid to write this review! When I say this is Baytown’s sandwich shop! I am not exaggerating one bit! Their cookies are delicious too! They have so many other things I want to try as well, and i know that everything is gonna be on point! Please give them a try if you are from Baytown or just passing through! You will not be disappointed!

We’re so pleased to have chosen this little Shop to settle in after hours in local medical facilities. We can enjoy a nice lunch in quiet, clean, pleasant surroundings. The menu offers more, however we settle for the Gently Prepared Sandwiches and Cold Beverages. And, if it’s available, the Chocolate Cake is every good as Grandma’s! You’ll want an extra slice to take home for later.

We’re hoping that this little eatery continues to remain Just As It Is.
