I absolutely love this little place. Today was my first time here. My daughter had the kids perch and I had the perch with shrimp. I was very skeptical about getting the shrimp because it seems like restaurants around this area don’t know what butterfly shrimp really are. I informed my waiter that I was skeptical and just to provide excellent service he went to the back and got me 2 pieces of shrimp to just make sure I was satisfied. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the hospitality. Overall great service and food. Well worth the price!

Looking for a Seafood restaurant before I left town in Blacksburg after spending months working there I found Colonial Fish Camp don’t let the name fool you it’s more like a restaurant than anything but I’m glad I decided to go there instead. If I had only knew about it sooner dang! They load you down with your money’s worth and it was great Seafood.

Great food and service! I found this fish camp on Google map. We are picky eaters and was very happy to find this new place as the fish was very fresh and cooked to perfection. We will definitely return and recommend it to others! Best fish camp we’ve been to thus far in the upstate!

Small town restaurant, family run. The restaurant opened at 3:30, by 3:45 it was packed with call in and dine in. To was a wait, but very well worth it!!

Very disapointed. Over cooked. Not impressed with portions for what they call “large” order for the money. More hushpuppies than seafood and both didn’t seem fresh. Food was luke warm. Served a vegetable spread in place of real butter. No flatware or napkins in carryout. Server was very nice and polite.
Guess I’ll keep searching for that great local seafood restaurant.

The food here is authentic and tasty. The inside recently was renovated and is much more appealing and efficient. The grilled, broiled, and fried fish options are delicious – I had the grilled salmon recently and I’d get it again in a heartbeat. It’s our go-to fish place!
