Stopped by for an afternoon coffee and to check out the Columbian foods that we were told about. The employee we met there was well versed in the products and we had a great discussion about the coffees and the foods. We took a selection of foods home, and tried one of the coffees in the store.

The idea of the store is that everything comes from Columbia. The coffee comes from several farms in that country while the foods is prepared by the owners in the traditional methods they brought with them. That is not completely true as some of the pastries we saw in the deli case come from Medittera bakery, but it was true of most of their stuff.

As described, the coffee is roasted to a medium levels which allows it to be mellow to drink. The employee described the aroma and tasting notes, but since those are pretty individual, I did not pick up on the same ones. Nonetheless, I did enjoy it.

We took the food home and had it for dinner that night, or for breakfast the next morning. This was somewhat disappointing though. All the doughs are based on masa, so everything is gluten-free. They were all good. What I did not particularly care for were the fillings. The Empanada filling (chicken) was very salty. The Arepa was nondescript and the cheese-filled buns were dry and not flavorful at all. The Mediterra croissant can be purchased there so I will not comment on it.

Will we come back? If I go by there, I will stop for the coffee, but will skip the food offerings.

I find it unacceptable when businesses substitute food without prior notice. If an item is unavailable, it should either be removed from the menu or customers should be informed. I requested a full cash refund for my purchase from Uber, but it was denied. I understand that businesses can override such decisions. Unfortunately, Colombino Coffee does not answer phone calls, so I hope they see this message.

Unfortunately you sent me the only item on the menu that I do not enjoy.

What a lovely surprise here in South Hills. I am rarely here and mostly for work; I searched for a cafe on Google and chose Colombino Coffee and I am very pleased. First of all the place is original, quirky, very nice, cozy, and clean. The barista welcomed me with a big smile and she was very friendly and her cappuccino is hands down the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh and surroundings. I love the lid with the stopper. They have a kitchen and some pastries on display. They also sell granola bars, chips, coffee and other goodies. I was here on a Thursday around 11:30 and there was only one more person working. If I lived here I’d definitely be working here too.
The cafe has a parking lot shared with the other businesses so I doubt parking is ever a problem.
Absolutely recommended!

We stopped in for coffee on Saturday. I got a hot chocolate based on the recommendation from the girl at the counter and my partner got a mocha. Both drinks were absolutely disgusting and we threw them away immediately after leaving the shop and we will not be returning. We aren’t looking for a refund or to be told we should have asked for new drinks. We just want the public to know of our experience. Thanks.

I am only going to review the food and customer service. I was trying to find a place with authentic native cuisine. I thought why not the Columbian coffee is great why not try the food. I got every aerapa, empanadas and their cheese bread. The food was not as good as I was hoping. The taste was bad and the cheese balls were hard and completely no taste at all. Why would you call them cheese balls and leave out the cheese. The food is overpriced and is definitely not authentic. Don’t get me started on the overpriced sauce they charge you with everything you get. They also don’t tell you that when you’re ordering your food. Don’t bother with the food it is not good at all.

Columbino Coffee on South Park Rd in Bethel Park is awesome. The service is very friendly and the environment is really cool. They offer a little nook where one can relax for quite some time… The coffee drinks are fantastic, and there are abundant options for food and drink. Highly recommended.

an update to my review regarding the syrup – The barista working said “I do not have the banana that goes into that syrup.” My friend and I were incredibly confused because it was a honey latte and she kept saying banana. This is a super cute place with great coffee and food. the only reason for my 4 star review is because there is a drink special – the honey cinnamon latte – and it is not disclosed on the menu that there is banana in the syrup to make that? Which confused me a lot, but more so because people have banana allergies and that should definitely be listed.

A very nice, quiet, and comfy brew spot for your morning routine. Tucked neatly into a small, busy shopping center, you get a great experience with plenty of “people watching” while you enjoy their hot or cold coffees made from premium beans. You also get service with a smile, which is an extension of their genuine menu. Great job to the staff. I enjoyed my visit on 9/19 and again on 9/20. Try their Lattes and arepas.

My husband & I come here every Sunday after church, and we look forward to it every week! Esteban, our barista always remembers us and is so friendly. I work in the industry as a barista, and I can tell how much care he puts into making every drink. The recipes & ingredients here are so well put together and high quality. Get an empanada if you’re hungry too!! They’re amazing. Authentically good coffee in the middle of the south hills! Worth a trip for everyone.

Ariane was my barista, I can, with 100% confidence say, they serve the best Coffee & Tea drinks. COLOBINO is the best coffee house I’ve been to in such a long time. I let her pick any drink for me. So long as it had lavender and, she was spot on! Not only did she make an amazing drink, her and I also conversed until other customers arrived. I’ve never met somebody I could connect with as fast as I did with her. I will recommend this place and talk about it for many days or weeks to come. Thank you COLOMBINO Coffee, for hiring caring and attentive staff like Ariane, and thank you Ariane for the amazing hospitality and, the Lavender Chai Tea surprise

**They also serve real Chai ☺️
