I liked the food. It wasn’t the best bbq I’ve had. But not the worst! Memphis needs to let go of the idea they have good ribs. These were dry and a little tough! (Peel the membrane off the back before you cook them y’all!)
The chicken stole the show. Best smoked chicken I’ve had!!! Pork was meh.. sausage was really good. The sides were good for what they were. Staff was friendly and did a good job. Decorations were an eclectic mess though. (Little distracting..) better than the other 3 bbq places I’ve tried in Memphis though.

Being a transplant to California and coming home to visit, I was excited to have some barbecue. I had the jumbo pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. Both were great pork was juicy and the sauces tasted great. Mac n cheese didnt disappoint either. I sampled a piece off of my brother in laws brisket plate. It would be a contender for next choice. Our server was really friendly and kind.

For $26 before tip, I expected much better. The brisket was so tough I struggled to cut it, and the BBQ sauce was bland. Even the spicy wasn’t spicy. The okra tasted frozen and reheated.
Plus, our waitress was NOT attentive. Someone else had to bring out our food, and we were almost done eating before they came to check on us and we were out of drinks for half the meal.
The only highlight were the fries, which were well seasoned and enjoyable. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the meal. There are so many other places to get BBQ, give this one a hard pass.

The smoked bologna was good. Ribs not, Brisket not, pulled pork was like eating yellow stained toothpicks. Not enough sauce to take care of how dry and microwaved it had to be. Best of all these barbecue experts leave the membrane on the ribs. It was like a plastic covered piece of meat that you couldn’t possibly bite through. Absolutely gross 100%. Tried to call to prevent this google review but in an empty restaurant with all the servers pretending like I was a ghost guess nobody was available. Those ribs are terrible! Novice bbq at best. For the price go to McDonald’s. Gross. Have a picture of the membrane. With no option to post.

This place was amazing. Really made up for the place we had such a bad experience with on Friday (check my profile). Prices were reasonable, the portions were huge ( I now need a nap)and the food was hot and tasty. Lisa was great. Friendly and let us eat. Food was hot and fast even though they were packed.

A far cry from the Germantown Commissary. I’ve now gotten food from this location several times and it is just a cut below the original. This time, I ordered a Jumbo pulled pork sandwich and about the only thing Jumbo about it was the bun itself. The pork was also a bit dry which was unexpected. This is now several times I have left disappointed. It’s no longer one of the best and is just another average BBQ spot.

Sent it back and ordered the smoked Wings were delicious with the stuffed eggs and the skins appetizer were amazing warm , crispy & seasoned.

Was looking for a great place to eat and I was told about Commmissary ….the waiter was good …but this is about the food ….I ordered a 3 meat combo platter…first off they was out of ribs so I settle 2 meat ….so I got links,chicken and because of the ribs you didn’t have … food came out and the chicken was cold the fries was hot ..then anything on my plate the links was cold plus wasn’t nothing but ecwrich sausages from the grocery store ….the devil egg didn’t have no sparkle paprika on it and I ordered green tea but he bought me water that I didn’t ask for…this experience was not great and it should of been free because I left it untouched…and still GOT charged ….A VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT….

Smoked wings were a hit. A little big for my preference, but the flavor made up for it. Well seasoned (not over seasoned) and definitely authentically smoked. Probably my go to choice when I come here.
