Excellent Food and Service, But Be Aware of Accessibility and Ambiance!
We had an overall positive experience here, primarily due to the exceptional food and friendly staff. Parking was easy, and we were greeted promptly.
Our server, Nicole, was courteous and incredibly helpful throughout the meal.
The food was the highlight: it was served fast, hot, and fresh. The BBQ was great, the fresh-cut fries were a real treat, and the Thousand Island dressing was excellent. The cost was a little over $30 for two, which felt a touch high.
However, the dining environment has significant drawbacks. The atmosphere is nostalgic but very dark, making it difficult for my mother (who has vision issues) to see the menu (which has very tiny print). The seating is small, hard, and uncomfortable, and the space felt generally non-ideal for larger people or those with mobility issues.
The restrooms are clean but very small and appear not to be wheelchair accessible.
Additionally, the amount of retail items for sale felt distracting.
Bottom line: Come for the fantastic BBQ and service, but if you require bright lighting or accessible seating/restrooms, you may want to look elsewhere.

This place. Wow. 15-20 years ago this place was great. Don’t know what changed, but fix it. Food wasn’t good (pork, slaw, watered down bbq sauce, watered down Brunswick stew) and there seems to be a weird environment going on. Not the old time family atmosphere at all.

Wasn’t sure where or what we wanted to eat. Went to our old faithful and wow. We both had chop steak, onions and peppers, her baked potato and me sweet potato. Bailey suggested Blue Cheese Dressing for my salad and it was the best I believe I’ve had. Rita had Ranch. Bailey our waitress was amazing. Food was great. It made our day after a busy week.

I brought Johnnie’s my turkey that was given to me. I’ve never cook a turkey before. So I chose to have them smoke it for me… IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS … The giblet gravy was on point. I’m so glad I decided to have them smoke it… The girls in the store are so nice and friendly… Excellent customer Service… For my new years tradition I’m definitely gonna use leftovers from the turkey for my collards and black eye peas.. Thank you so much for your love you put into your food. It sure made my holiday very special … Part 2… Making a soup with my leftover smoked turkey… This restaurant is the best in town…

This is the real hometown Cracker Barrel The food is perfect Mom and Pop The place is decorated with a home feel. The service is quick, and you seat yourself choosing your own table. They are always busy! You know a place is good when the locals keep it busy. The staff is always so nice hard to come by thrse days.

I ordered the rib plate with fries and a side of coleslaw. The ribs were tender and smoky, the fries were hand cut and home fries, cole slaw was creamy but a little bland. My husband ordered the pork plate combo with fries and Brunswick stew. He was not too fond if their Brunswick stew. They have 3 kinds of bbq sauce. We liked the sweet and smoky and the Johnny’s Hot Sauce, but be prepared, the hot sauce is very spicy but yummy. Portions were big and the drinks are huge. Our server, Sidney, was very sweet and accommodating. I give her a 10 out of 10. You can shop for boots, clothes, knives and other items as well.

Black Friday visit, about 4pm, three tables filled in the whole restaurant. Waitress took the order of four of our five and walked away. We reminded her that she forgot to take the last order and she said, “he’ll eat what I bring him”. The manager approached and apologized for the teenage waitress, offered a free meal, but we turned it down. You can’t speak to consumers any way you want for the price of a cold pork plate of food. Manager was nice enough, but he seemed to think his waitress and her attitude was ok by him. Hard pass!

Hey Now! I had rib plate with beans and mac&cheese. Ribs were cooked great, tender, juicy, came right off the bone with not too much sauce. Service was good, reasonably priced. I recommend it to anyone for lunch or dinner. I will go back here the next time I am in the area.
