The quality of the food they put out has gone so wildly downhill. I used to order CTB weekly. This is an “open face, scooped, tuna salad bagel + onion & tomato”. Absolute waste of money.

Fabulous experience! Delicious, nutritious food at reasonable prices. Convenient location right near the Cornell campus. Fast, friendly service. A wide variety of both food items and beverages. A clean, neat store. Highly recommended!

Excellent bagels. Great sandwiches and soups. Large menu (except soups) with cryptic names. Been a regular in this local chain since 1977.

We lived in Ithaca for many years but had not been back in 12 years. One stop that was essential was to Collegetown Bagels. We had to get the stellar Octopus Sandwich (super!) and an Octopus Collegetown bagels T-shirt. Great setting, helpful staff, delicious food and fast service. We will be back sooner, I hope!

CTB has consistently mediocre food but they have a wide selection and great service. I have been unimpressed with the portioning in their salads/bowls before (there is often way too much lettuce/grain base for the amount of toppings) but tried the build your own option today and was particularly disappointed by the amount of chicken. I know prices are going up but $3 for 1 ounce of chicken seems a bit extreme to me.

Went in last Friday (7/18) for a bit of a splurge breakfast. I ordered the Nova Lox & Cream Cheese on a Sesame Bagel with tomato, onions, and capers. Cost with tax & 20% tip was $16.91. To my surprise there was a ton of lox and quite a bit of cream cheese. It comes open face, which I was not aware of, but that didn’t matter. It was delicious and for dining out, well worth the price. My only criticism, and why I gave 4-stars for service, is due to their system. They make orders as they come in and apparently they do many more online orders than they do in house orders. From the time I walked in to the time I ordered and paid, was 4 minutes. I got my food 13 minutes later. Had I been on my way to work, this would be an issue. It’s my feeling that in-house customers should be taken care of first, but like I said, this is not the staff’s fault. They were awesome and swamped with online orders.

A little pricey, $16 just for a sandwich alone. It tasted good but a little dry, could used a sauce and some toppings especially for the cost. The drink was pretty good and decent price, got the seasonal cookie butter chai latte. Might not return again, but probably will to try some of the baked goods, they do have vegetarian options as well.

Nice cozy place with friendly staff, but the actual food fell short for me. I got a Varna’s Vegan Sandwich and a Coconut Cake Slice. The sandwich was just okay – the tempeh was good, but otherwise it was just a little plain – it really needed some sort of spread to tie things together – and the bread could have been packaged grocery store bread. The cake was stale, with hard, flavourless frosting. The drink I had (a turmeric steamer) was good though – too sweet for my taste, but less powdery then other turmeric drinks I’ve had. The concept of the shop appeals to me and I’m interested in their large menu, so I would go back to give them a second chance and try some different things, but if I had the same experience a second time I wouldn’t return.

Super friendly service and nice ambiance, but the bagels themselves are bone dry and tough. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese, and I think they gave me less than one egg, one strip of bacon, and no cheese.
I would not recommend it.

Bagels were really great. Very fresh and very filling in both the breakfast sandwich and the lox.
I don’t think I would get the matcha again; should have just stuck to a coffee or latte.
