I just moved to Upper Chichester and I was looking for a good Jamaican food spot and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I was skeptical because of the recent reviews I read, but I figured let me just see for myself! I ordered the Steak, Yams, and Mac for me and Oxtails, Rice and Peas, and Cabbage for my husband, today is a Saturday night so idk if it’s different chefs on different days but Oh my goodness, the food was delicious! I am very happy with my order, it is a little pricey BUT for the size that they serve (large) cheese and peas, it’s enough for 2 people! I just want to leave an honest review because some of the recent ones I’ve seen don’t match the experience that I had… It really was good! Thank you Chef (whoever you are) saved me from cooking! lol

By far, probably the best Jamaican food I found in the area. I’ve visited at least four or five times for carryout and I’m never disappointed. Not only are their food portions hearty, but they’re delicious. Their curry chicken and jerk chicken are seasoned to perfection. Their cabbage is delectable. Their oxtails don’t disappoint either! Great customer service overall. My only critique is the wait time. I believe they might be understaffed. Otherwise, I’m happy to be a regular patron!

So I’m from Philly but I’ve lived in Wallingford for the past 8 years and yall i still drive to Philly when i want good food! UNTIL NOW!!!! This food was delicious!! This is the only good food Chester has to offer a Philly girl like me!! The chicken was crispy and flavorful, the sides were everything! I was not a fan of the large noodles in the mac and cheese but other than that everything was great! I will be ordering again!!

I’ve eaten here 3 times.. The food is very good. I’ve ordered multiple dishes and have no complaints about the food. When they first opened it was packed and the wait was expected.. Now I’m told a time and had to wait 40 extra minutes.. I wish things were a little more professional. When answering the phone sometimes they just say hello and I find myself repeating my order 3 to 4 times… Like I said the food is good but the wait time is about an hour so order ahead

Smh. I am disappointed. I’ve ordered for numerous times I always knew they took FOREVER to cook your food but I was able to just leave my house later than told. However, I ordered the jerk pasta – and it’s full of OIL. I’m very disappointed in my meal. It literally doesn’t taste or look like the first time I ordered the jerk pasta from them. And my 2 pastas and chicken wing platters were pretty much $70.

Oxtails, Jerk chicken Mac & cheese &candy yams. The oxtails were very well seasoned and fell off the bone .. just a tad bit too much sauce . The jerk chicken was not jerk not spicy at all but was very well seasoned and good . Mac and cheese and yams were on point for me . Babe did say the yams was to sweet for her . But over all we really did enjoy the food and well spent $55 i give it 8/10 and the platter was a pretty nice size

I don’t know what happened here. I’ve been ordering the same thing since they were located at the 501 bar. Tonight I was extremely disappointed. Fried fish was nothing but seasoned fish with grease and my Mac and cheese wasn’t done. I could peel the shredded cheese off the top and also had little chucks of unmelted cheese in the middle ♀️I’m not sure if it’s because Colleen wasn’t there but it was no love put into the food tonight

Honestly I’m disappointed I looked at the reviews and was so excited to try this food the food is mid literally a 4/10 the rice had a Burt taste the cabbage was mush had a sort of chalky taste and the oxtail was ok it’s 5pm on a Friday a lot of foot traffic the wait was about 40 minutes when I was told 15/20 food still came out cold i literally ate some in the car immediately after receiving and I’m highly disappointed I guess I expected better from the reviews I took a bite of the rice and ate about 4 oxtails couldn’t finish the cabbage after initial taste

Got put onto this spot by a Jamaican friend of mine. Curry? Top notch. Brown stew? Phenomenal. Beef pattys? Delicious. Sides? Fantastic. If you havent yet give Colleens a try you will not be disappointed.
