I searched for the sit down restaurant but only found a serving counter next to the sports bar with a few items listed on the board, cheese burgers, chicken strips, fries. I was about to leave but then I saw pot roast and chicken fried steak. I thought that might work. I asked the person at the counter which she thought was better. She said both were good but recommended the chicken fried steak. I ordered and she gave me a beeper for when it was ready. I found a table to sit in the sports bar. While at a bar you might as well have a drink. I went to the bar to order. Not the most personable bartender I have ever met, really quite rude.
My beeper went off so I went to the counter for my food. What was on my plate was chicken fingers with a styrofoam cup of cold gravy, cold green beans and cold mashed potatoes. What kind of restaurant and cook does not know what chicken fried steak is. It has nothing to do with chicken, it is a steak.
Worse you pay before you eat so they ask for a tip before you are served. I noted that I should have found another place to eat.
I walked back to my truck and settled in. Around 2:30am someone was pounding on my windows so hard I thought they were going to break them. I repeatedly yelled who is it with no reply. I had noticed a person in the parking lot earlier and thought it might be him. I finally gave up and opened the door to a security guard. He said I could not park here overnight. I explained that the other guard said I could. He asked me to leave. I said I couldn’t now because I had drinks with dinner. He said he had to go talk to his supervisor. He came back less than 5 minutes later. He told me his supervisor told him that it had been a couple of hours since I drank and should be fine to drive. I told him he is wrong that I cannot have anything in my system with a CDL license. He said I still had to leave. I told him it would be on them if I got pulled over and liable if I got in a wreck. I left and went to the Walmart parking lot across the street per his suggestion.
Why would someone wait until 2:30 in the morning to tell someone the cannot stay there. Why not let them know say 9:00 or 10:00pm and not try to break down the windows at 2:30 in the morning.
Needless to say I will never visit this place again nor recommend that anyone go here. I hope the doors a boarded up soon.
