On a trip to a nearby winery party, we knew they didn’t serve food so we grabbed 2 burritos. Both yummy: carnitas and chile verde pork. I wish the pork was cooked off more for slightly less fat, but still good. $16 each for the burritos is a little high for me, but they were generous. They came with beans, rice, and chips and salsa. Inside is a local bar also, seems everyone knows each other. Great service staff–super friendly and fast.

On my first trip to Amador City and Plymouth, just randomly stopped at Colina De Oro and became a pleasant experience. Food was great, I ordered Chicken Enchilada, tasted like authentic Mexican cuisine. Great environment and friendly staff hosted me with smile and positive attitude. Highly recommended.

With limited options, it was recommended that we give this place a try. The guacamole and salsa were both excellent! The entrees were also very good and filling. We didn’t try any alcoholic beverages as we had just gone wine tasting. They would have gotten five stars from us but one of our servers was not wearing a mask. During the pandemic, this was a negative. We kept ours on when not eating or drinking due to the number of folks here who were mask less.

My father had picked this place for our rendezvous. Our time together is important since my limited time stateside.
Papa was also concerned about his anonymity considering recent articles in the press. I must say food was full of flavor and the staff was wonderful. We exchanged packages and nobody was the wiser.

In the foothills picking up a wine order and canceling a club, we saw the sign as we drove up and as we left we were starving and as usual wanted to support local. The food was fantastic. The service was great. I had the Camerones a la Diablo and the wife had Enchiladas. Wow amazing food.

Servers were friendly and seated us quickly and given chips that seemed old and the salsa tasted like the tomatoes were canned. The place looks dingy and run down. There were lots of happy people at the bar. Food lacked flavor and was not as expected based on menu descriptions. I ordered the fajita taco meal. I expected freshly grilled onions and peppers. The photo is what I got. Not sure how the peppers got to be so small and stringy? Maybe from a can too? Had to salt it heavily to taste anything. Next time we will find something else.

Hands down, best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to! With such a remote location, I stumbled upon this gem on the way back from Daffodil Hill and what a fabulous way to end the day. Delicious homemade chips and salsa(complementary as they should be). Tender and juicy chili verde/ chili colorado and super fresh and crispy taquitos. I must add that their taco salad is the best I’ve ever had – it’s made slightly differently than your fast food restaurant version, and so much better. Next time you’re passing by, be sure to stop in and give them a try!

We drive by this place Everytime we go wine tasting, and we finally stopped in. Glad we did! Delicious fish tacos and Southwest chicken tacos (or taquitos?) And chicken nuggets for my little one who I haven’t yet convinced of the deliciousness of Mexican food. Quick and friendly service. We’ll definitely stop in again!
