If you’re looking for a mom and pop style authentic Mexican spot, this is it!! They were so kind, genuine, and the food was delicious. Absolutely my new favorite spot.

Been going to this place since 2000. Great food, portions are huge and prices are on point. You get your food quick too and the folks there are always helpful if you need anything, for example if you need salsa or lemon, they will ask what they can get for you and get it as they are helping another customer. That is priceless. All of the above is the reason I make a point to eat here when I am in the area whether I’m hungry or not.

I had the burrito supreme and it was disappointing to say the least. Completely devoid of flavor and the service was awful, treated us like we were bothering them by coming in to eat (it was completely empty at 6pm on a Saturday). I used to come here all the time 3-4 years ago and it was great. Must’ve changed owners or something because this place sucks now

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “The best-kept secret in Oceanside!”
Colimas is easily the best-kept secret in Oceanside . While tourists line up elsewhere, you get the real, authentic experience here. We make it a tradition to visit every time we are in Oceanside.
Why you should go:
* No Wait: There’s always a free table and no annoying queues.
* Authentic Food: Huge portions that actually fill you up.
* Top Recommendation: If you want a Burrito, you MUST order the Shrimp Burrito. It’s incredible!
* Service & Price: The staff is always friendly and top-notch. Plus, the prices are fair without any “tourist surcharge.”
A clear recommendation for anyone looking for the real deal in Oceanside!

Hole in the wall with a huge menu. The food was fresh, full of flavor and abundant. Big portion is an understatement. We’re in from New York and looked forward to trying some fresh Mexican out here. Looking forward to the next joint.

I haven’t been here in 21 years. I’m glad they’re still around and making amazing food.
If you go in a Tuesday, avoid parking in front because the city starts towing cars at 2PM for what appears to be a farmers market.
I liked the old location better, but this newer location is pretty nice.
The quality of the food is as good as I remember. For me it’s about nostalgia as well as a place to get some good food.

Huge burritos, feels like 5lbs when you try and pick it up. It’s around $16 for the California Burrito which is a great value (as of April 2025) for the absolute beast of a burrito. Can honestly barely finish one. Be sure to take it with you and a short walk to the pier for the ultimate socal atmosphere.

They gave in and jumped on the Oside gentrification price gouging train. Since everyone is tenderized to the idea, why not use it as an excuse to raise your prices across the entire menu.
They used to be the spot you can get a giant breakfast burrito or heavy meat asada burrito for cheap, now it is $16-18 for a burrito.
They also now have tactics that work on low communicating ability people. You order a burrito, they’ll point at the wall and ask if that one, you say yes and they serve ring up a combo. Same for tacos. Who order a bean, rice, and cheese burrito with beans and rice on the side? Ask for water and they say suggest bottle so they can charge for it. The food quality has always been mid to low, but their prices were reflective of that. Well the quality is still same, but now you’re paying sit down restaurant plate prices.
