Came here 7 years ago and I still think about their eggs benedict, so since I was back in the area we had to stop by and get some. The spice in the hollandaise sauce really takes it to the next level. It was great then and it’s still great now!

Santa Rosa was having the “Rose Parade” earlier in the day, so I was lucky and it was not busy when I stopped for dinner. I got to chat with the friendly Waiter and learned that my excellent salad had been prepared when it was requested, which was why it was BEAUTIFUL and crisp and without a single brown edge or whilted leaf. There wasn’t a bite that was bitter. Both the greens and dressing tasted great. I had no croutons on my salad, due to a cheese allergy and excessive caution. My entrée was also freshly prepared and the vegtables were so good I could gave eaten a whole plate of just veggies. The Waiter said that the veggies were not cooked in advance, but done when ordered . . .and you could tell. Each vegtable had its own unique flavor, sautéed in garlic butter, instead of just tasting like “mixed vegtables”. Delicious! The Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. It was a generous piece with VERY little waste. My Ribeye in the menu description noted a basalmic onion and blue cheese reduction on top, but again, mine had to be cooked without the Blue Cheese due to a cheese allergy. I asked for it medium rare and that was how I got it. My baked potato came with chives and butter only, because I did not want the sour cream that was offered on the menu.
I have eaten breakfasts here, hamburgers, a BLT, and, maybe the Fish and Chips in the very long ago past . . .I can’t remember for sure. BUT, the Fish and Chips will be next on my list because I am told they are hand dipped in a beer batter and that is my favorite thing to order.
All in all, I hope folks enjoyed the Rose Parade festivities as much as I enjoyed hitting the restaurant at the right time and having a wonderful meal.
This is a really special restaurant for Santa Rosa BECAUSE there are very few places on this end of town. Actually, just Colibri Grill and Union Hotel a couple blocks farther. Without this restaurant, you would have to go downtown to get a meal of such high quality. I feel very fortunate to have such a great restaurant with high quality food right around the corner! It’s great being able to dash 5 minutes down the road for wonderful food.
Anybody who goes into this little restaurant will be very surprised at such food offerings in the very homey atmosphere of a little diner.
Go there and you will love it. Just don’t go when I do because I kind of liked having the place to myself tonight!

I have a sweet tooth and I absolutely loved their coffee pear chocolate chip pancake.
Overall the food and service was good. They were accommodative of our spl requests.
Will definitely go back for brunch again.

02/04/24 – probably wouldn’t return to eat here again. Eggs benedict had far too much lemon in the hollandaise sauce. The country potatoes were good.
My friends meal was not good, eggs/bacon could’ve been cooked better and been more flavorful. The sourdough toast was the incorrect order but was straight-up soggy.
FYI no oat milk here, they have cows, almond, and soy.
Previous review – I really enjoyed eating here and they had fair prices. I will most definitely come back to try some of their other dishes. The reason I gave 4 stars was because the eggs benedict and home fries could be better, though they were still satisfying. The Chai latte was delicious. Very friendly staff and lovely ambiance, I felt very relaxed being here.

Colibri has an overwhelming amount of options, but it’s a rare gem because everything I’ve tried on their menu has been wonderful! Also very nice staff. We mostly go for brunch, but their lunch options are very good too… especially the burgers!

Tried a second time. Big plate and good quality. Waitress never came back to see how the food was.
Big breakfast plates and food is solid but missing anything really special. I mistakenly ordered the bbq meat hash which was way too sweet because of the sauce that they grill the ribs with. The sourdough toast was ice cold and hard as a brick. Our waiter was swamped so I did not bother him to give me another order. I will go back to try something else but the Hollandaise sauce was right out of a package so I would not recommend that.

They have a wide range of Egg Benedict’s and other breakfast items. The coffee is pretty good. Not sure if our waitress was new, but she only came to our table to take our order and drop off our food; I even ran out of coffee! The quality of the food did not make up for the terrible service; I don’t think I will b dining here again!
