Had the specials today. I had the cod bites and my wife had the smash burger. Both were exceptional. The cod bites were cooked perfectly in an super light batter. The fries were excellent and the smash burger was excellent.

I was very impressed with the service, and the food. It seems there has been a vast improvement here, as it has been over a year since I was there last (…and it was great back then too). The portions are very generous, and the quality is excellent. The staff there are very personable, helpful, and efficient! The deserts are all homemade, as is everything on the menu. They are so good, I actually has 2.

I found this cosy spot on my recent trip to Newfoundland and loved it so much I ate there three times!
It’s owned by two local couples who have clearly poured their heart + soul into making it a warm, welcoming place.
The bar seating always has wonderfully fun and interesting people to chat with and their daily specials and regular menu are a real treat. The duck french onion soup was SO good and my steak was cooked to perfection.
Everyone needs to stop in here while visiting this part of the island. A true gem of a place. Great people. Fantastic food.

We had double smash burger and the fried chicken sandwich . Was four of us and so we bought two of each and cut the burgers in half so we could try the chicken and beef. It was all pretty good. The burger was a little salty but the chicken was deadly. The service was very nice and the staff were very friendly.

I had the fried chicken burger with fries. The burger was good with a honey chili sauce, burger sauce and lettuce. The fries were light, crispy and delicious.
My partner had the fish tacos and loved every bite. Their only complaint was to have a larger pita bread for each fish taco.

Incredible food. Everything was fresh and perfectly executed. Simple comfort food that so many places can get wrong. The fries alone are worth the trip. All the bread was fresh. Even the kids chicken fingers were home made and moist. Accommodated my wife’s gluten free order easily and safely.

Our second visit and both were phenomenal. Owners take obvious pride in their freshmade food and super friendly service. Highly recommend. Well worth the drive to lovely Carbonear.
