Cold Water Oyster Market in Fort Myers was such a nice surprise for lunch after being near PopStroke. I wanted something a bit more upscale and this place nailed it. I had the lobster roll, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve had — buttery, full of lobster, and the fries were crisp and seasoned just right. Then I tried the salmon risotto, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff was friendly, the food came out quick, and everything felt worth the price. Highly recommend this spot.

Coldwater Oyster Market is hands-down one of the best dining spots in Fort Myers, and it’s our go-to every time we’re in the area. The food is consistently outstanding, with their fresh, expertly shucked oysters stealing the show—each one bursts with briny, clean flavor from both East and West Coast varieties. The craft beer selection is equally impressive, featuring a rotating lineup of 44 taps with local Southwest Florida brews that pair perfectly with the seafood-driven menu. One dish we can’t stop raving about is the cast iron scallops with risotto. The scallops are seared to a perfect golden crust, tender and buttery, while the creamy risotto underneath is rich and perfectly balanced—a combination that never fails to wow us.
Beyond the food, what sets Coldwater apart is its welcoming, pet-friendly patio. Our dog loves joining us for dinner, and the staff always makes sure our pup is comfortable with a fresh bowl of water. The atmosphere strikes just the right chord: lively yet relaxed, with live music adding energy to the modern, nautical-inspired space. Whether it’s the two buck shuck happy hour (3-6 PM, Sunday-Thursday) or a full meal, the service is attentive and friendly, with servers who know the menu inside and out and offer spot-on recommendations.
We recommend Coldwater Oyster Market to everyone we know, especially seafood lovers and craft beer enthusiasts. From the standout dishes like the lobster roll and clam chowder to the unbeatable vibe, this place delivers every single time. If you’re in Fort Myers and looking for a memorable meal with your furry friend in tow, this is the spot to hit. You won’t be disappointed!

Hands down the best oysters in town! I tried the Smoke n Thyme cocktail—while it was a bit on the pricier side, it was absolutely worth it. Honestly, it’s one of the best whiskey drinks I’ve ever had, easily rivaling a $30 cocktail in Vegas.
Jasmine was a amazing waitress make the whole experience an 5 stars.
Thanks you Jasmine and everyone at Coldwater oysters for a great birthday.

It was my first time here, the service was mediocre and the food was not good. I ordered the seared salmon and an heirloom beet salad. I have had many beet salads and this would be the absolute bottom. The salmon was to be on a bed of risotto with spinach and mushrooms and the risotto was cold and the salmon was fair. I think my server bartender stopped by one time to see how my salmon was but and she never checked in with me when I just had the beet salad. I did take the beet salad and the salmon as a recommendation from her. I would have told her it was not good. I would not recommend place this to anyone when there are so many more restaurants in town to try but this would be my last choice from now on.

Went to Coldwater Oyster Market to celebrate my birthday, will definitely be back!! Had the oysters as my appetizer, as well as calamari! My wife and I shared the lobster and diver scallops entrees, prepared and presented to perfection! I had their signature cocktail “Dirtiest Martini” with an intriguing description – Like Kissing a Mermaid! Also had a “Smoke n’ Thyme” that was just incredible!! With all this said, our server, Cam was absolutely the best!! Thank you!!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time last night, and we will definitely be back! I got the blackened cod and I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant recently. The others in our party ordered the kids’ grilled cheese, the bbq chicken, fish and chips, and the swordfish. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent as well.

The food is amazing. My wife had the lobster roll and it was full of lobster and really tasty. Hey, she offered for me to try it and when you see the picture, you will want to order one too. I had the fish and chips , also great. The server we had last night was great, despite having numerous tables. He constantly gave us updates on when our food would be out. Guitar player was great but with high ceilings and being close to the stage it was too loud to carry on a conversation. Maybe sitting further back from the stage would be better, because the food and the service and entertainment were great. I also thought there were many items at different price points to appeal to everyone. I say this often, but go now if you have not tried this place ,because this is another one of those places you will not get into when the snowbirds come back.

My son recently moved to Ft. Myers and Coldwater Oyster Market is in within walking distance of his apartment. How lucky are we? Each time I’ve visited in the past, we have dined here. This time, I discovered Happy Hour. It’s fantastic and the food, staff and atmosphere are always on point. This visit, I ate here each day and tried different fresh oysters every time. Superb Fish + Chips! The Plain Jane Burger is delicious!!! Thank you to Barbara + Addison for your fantastic service and Thank you Adam for your excellent restaurant!
