Sweet place and it’s obviously loved and supported locally. We were there for lunch and people kept coming! Our server has been there for 20 years. The place could use a good update and cleaning. The food was good–no complaints. We had the taco salad and chicken tender wrap. The chicken soup side was pretty much broth and noodles but still acceptable.
They’ve got a good business.

If you are looking for a down home feeling, then you’ve found the right place. The people here are friendly, customers and staff alike. The food was awesome. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. We ate for under $30 for 2 of us before the tip. The staff seemed to know most customers by name.

First time here in Coldwater. I looked on google and found this place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly staff. I almost felt like I was in the South with the hospitality. My server I belive her name is LuLu. Escorted me to my seat. The menu is overwhelming. However, it is divided with tabs for different categories of food available. I ordered the Denver omelette. Which is made with 3 eggs, comes with american fries and 2 pancakes. I added cheese to the omelette and a side of toast. Food was out within 8-12min. Pancakes were good and very large. The omelette and fries were amazing. Overall experience was good. Definitely come in and try them out. Let’s support local restaurants that are good.

Update August 2024
We were happy to return to this restaurant while visiting Coldwater Michigan once again. This truly is a local / home cooking/family dining style restaurant. The waitresses make you feel very welcome. You’d be surprised at the size of the menu, so much variety, definitely something for everyone. They have so many specials everyday.
May 2024 This was our first time here.
I’m so glad we tried it!
We had meatloaf/veggies/mashed potatoes/soup/ bun
And turkey with gravy/veggies/fries/soup/bun.
Delightful portions, fast service, friendly!
The menu was large and everything sounded amazing

This place is going down so fast, it’s sad. I got sat down at a broken bench. I got up myself and moved to an actual table with chairs. The waitresses were rude. Kept coming up to me after I just got my menu like every 3 minutes and Tried rushing me and my family to place our order. After we place the order we got the food within 10 minutes. We’re talking about seven people. 10 minutes. I don’t know about you but that sounds a little bit too fast for a family restaurant. Anyway I ordered the fried clams. My clams were pasty they weren’t even done the whole way it was nasty. The waitress came up one time to refill my drink because I had to stop her and ask her. Before I got halfway through my meal she put the bill on my table and I haven’t seen the waitress after that for refills for anybody in the family. I do not recommend this place for anybody. Yes the food prices may be good. But remember you get what you pay for. When I go out to eat with my family I don’t want to feel like I’m being rushed to get out of the restaurant by rude waitresses. And I surely don’t like how they treated myself and family. Applebee’s is right down the road. I suggest going there

Always a good experience here, the atmosphere could use some updating but it has a nostalgic feel. You can get so many different kinds of food and they’re all good, unlike some places that have an item just to have it on the menu as an option. The cappuccinos are to die for. It’s a bit pricey but also affordable, just depends how much you’re looking to buy.

The parking lot was packed when we arrived but managed to get a spot. The restaurant was full but we were seated immediately. We all decided on breakfast with my partner getting butterscotch pancakes and Canadian bacon. Her son got a chocolate chip pancake breakfast sandwich with ham and eggs. I got a Monte Cristo sandwich with “American fries” which was basically home fries. The kid loved his breakfast and ate about half of it. My partner loved her pancakes. I was disappointed in mine because a Monte Cristo is supposed to be battered and deep fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar. This one was just made with French toast and they offered lettuce, tomato, pickles on the side to be added. The Americas fries needed seasoning, as did the scrambled eggs on the kids plate. I could see this was a very popular place and even though I was disappointed, I would give it a second chance because other people like the food

Large portions, tons of options, friendly staff, and a nice seating area with a great view. The French dip, chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, turkey and stuffing, and Denver omelet were all good, but the pancakes were awesome.

The waitress was the most unpleasant. Then the food…
What a sad disappointment to what it used to be. The meal my husband received was uncooked. The gyro was made with freezer burnt and over cooked meat. The salad was brown with onions that looked to be cut last week and left to dry. We both ended up with stomach pains. Never again.

I was brought here to enjoy some delicious crepes that have been all the rage! The crepes were made perfectly with the right amount of strawberries, cottage cheese inside and topped with whipped cream. I would say this makes a delicious breakfast but also a great dessert. The service was fast and pleasant. I think they could use a little update on the carpet or waiting area, but other than that I think it’s definitely worthwhile.
