If your on the dalton and making the long trip north or south, stopping here is a must. The food is good, coffee is good, and the facilities and fuel is good. When there is nothing else around anything that’s good is great. Plus the staff are friendly too. There are two entrances, one going north and one going south. Both lead to the same place. Plus, there’s also Internet connection/phone if that’s something you’re looking for.

I had the Standard Burger w/ pepper jack & jalapeños. And WOW, I was shocked at good it was! And the pile of fries was mind blowing. I was so hungry (hadnt eaten yet that day) that i promised i would clear my plate. And i struggled. I went in with low expectations but dang, they make some incredibly good food. And it was only $14. Again, shocked in a good way! Service was great too.

We ate here twice (breakfast and dinner) and both times it was fantastic! The food is homemade, no prepackaged gunk. It is served buffet style but it is not buffet food. We highly recommend stopping here to eat if you ever decide to take the bumpiest ride of your life (Dalton Hwy.) on the worst road…ever.

Great prices and food quality considering the remote location. Also very generous servings. Good friendly people

Great place(only place) to eat and gas up on way to prudhoe bay. The campground just north of here was great stay as well.

You won’t find better food inside 237 miles. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. They were so friendly that it almost made you forget a room is $250. The buffet was pretty good and the price was very reasonable.

The drive from Fairbanks to this gem is breathtaking!
The cafe itself has a great American food menu with lots of options. No matter what you order, the portion size will be enormous! We tried the burgers, the T-Rex, the Truckers special, grilled cheese, chicken strips, & coffee. Every meal was awesome and the coffee hit the spot!
The staff makes you feel right at home with their hospitable and friendly attitudes and demeanors.
The gift shop had several apparel options to choose from, along with additional souvenir options.
There were some interesting facts and some history on the back of the menu. Along the walls of the cafe, you could find lots of neat stories about events or people who have passed through.
The atmosphere, while rugged, was relaxed and welcoming.
We can’t wait to return!

Kind and lovely staff! I felt like this place offered luxurious food for its location, especially in winter! And, best of all for me, they had a few vegetarian options on the menu!
For many traveling on the Dalton Highway, this is probably the best (and only) option. Despite operating in tough and remote conditions in the winter, their staff were a cheery lot which I really appreciated! I’d give this place a higher rating if it were possible!
I loved the murals and many photos and articles that framed the walls of the cafe. Do take the time to checkout the frames adorning this rustic cafe and stop by the gift shop!

So we are biking from Prudhoe Bay to Argentina and we stopped here on the end of day 4 and stayed day 5 to relax and catch up on computer work. The food here is very good and the portions are large. We’ve had the French toast, breakfast sandwich, chili , chicken soup, French dip and a burger and all of it was good. If you need fuel they have that as well and are open all night for fuel. They have a little gift shop you can grab some stuff from a post office to send a post card or something and they even have a little bar where you can get a beer or some wine. If you are going north it is a must stop and check the place out

Atmosphere, food employees and food are meh at best. A blessing for the owner is that there is no competition in 200 miles.
