DO NOT GO HERE. I recently bought ice cream for my wife and me from this location. We ordered chocolate-dipped waffle cones for our ice cream and took them home. After taking our first bite, we were hit with a strong taste of bathroom cleaner. It was completely inedible and we threw this out immediately. This leads me to believe they do follow proper cleaning or food-handling practices, which is extremely concerning. We will not be returning and I have a filed a complaint with the Contra Costa Health Department.

I’ve come here about three times already and I can confidently give an honest review. The employees working there are a big problem. Every time I’ve walked in the staff look and act very annoyed to the point where it’s a little uncomfortable and awkward to be served. There’s a male staff there with a little ponytail who is passive aggressive and looks agitated when he see’s the line of people coming in. Look, I get it, I would be annoyed too but when the bad attitude affects what I buy then I’ma say something. The girl who served me looked annoyed serving me and didn’t have the Reese’s pieces I originally wanted for my ice cream. So I asked for a Oreo Overload and she literally put three (3) Oreos on a love size and barely even broke it up to be spread through the ice cream with measly chocolate chips and fudge. I turned a blind eye the last two times but please don’t be skimping out of toppings for peoples ice cream just because you hate your job be for real.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Cold Stone. The staff appeared visibly unhappy and unwelcoming, which made the visit uncomfortable. The lack of friendly interaction significantly impacted my overall experience.
This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this.it seems like each time I visit, the employees have a negative attitude and are not engaged in providing good customer service. When taking orders and serving ice cream, customers should always be greeted with a warm, welcoming attitude.
Unfortunately, that was not the case during my visit, and I left feeling unsatisfied. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their staff’s customer service.

Ordered two large cups of ice cream, one pistachio only and the other pistachio mixed with another flavor. Tried it after arriving home and both cups had a nasty strong chemical taste and determined that it was due to the pistachio flavor in both cups. I’m not sure if it’s because of the excessive food coloring used to make it green, or the type of extract, but regardless the ice cream was inedible and a waste of $19. I’ve ordered other flavors from this location and they were fine but the pistachio is just disgusting and unacceptable. Furthermore the customer service of this location is questionable at best. The workers are very slow-moving and their disposition always seems condescending when ordering. Makes the entire experience very uncomfortable.

Took the family out for a treat. Even though this place was packed the girls behind the counter worked hard to ensure quick service. The price gave me a swift gut punch, but holding my ice cream made my mouth drool. After I recovered from the sting of the price, I totally enjoyed the yummy dessert!!!

Cold stone is horrible and needs to be closed..I bring my 84 year old mother in at least 3 times a week.on 3/3/23, I ordered a “love it signature” and a “gotta love it” size mixed icream no toppings..together I paid $14.
.00 dollars and change , and I gave a tip.When I got home they were both •love it” sizes..so turned around and went back to tell of the cashiers mistake Instead of listening..the cashier immediately got nasty claiming that she did my order correctly. Another employee called the manager and the Manager instructed the employee to sell me a love it at a discounted price. He made the ice cream and charged me $6,99 ..this is the same price as the “Gotta love it??? So because he made itI didn’t want to argue and upset my mom. So I paid it..My total for the night was over &21 , which is way more than I pay..my usual bill is $14 for 2 Gotta love it sizes. This generation is not into good customer service at all..They are rude and nasty. Cold Stone in Pinole, Ca, will not get another dime of our money..
P.S., If you don’t want black peoples on your store, just put a sign up!!!
