Order my daughter a custom ice cream cake 2 weeks before needing cake for her party, I also paid for it the same day that I ordered. I asked for it to be ready at 12 noon when they opened, I arrived late at 12:45 to pick it up. I go to the counter and ask for my cake only to be asked if it could be under another name. The manager returned once again and told me “unfortunately the employee that took your order quit and she didn’t tell us that we had any cakes she took orders for.” She’s no longer an employee so literally not her responsibility?? Why when she quit dis we not check to see if she had taken any cake orders? Why are we blaming an ex employee and not taking accountability? I’m sorry we failed at our jobs, let me make this right for you. I was offered a refund, which I did not want a refund with no cake. This was for a sweet 16! You only turn 16 once and they damn near ruined it. She finally tells me she can have the cake ready at 3pm but I have to send someone else to pick it up as my daughter’s party was at 6pm. The person who picked the cake up said they were writing on it as he got there and that I wouldn’t be happy with it. The cake looked terrible! It was slanted and the writing was very crooked and sloppy. This was not at all what I had requested. Terrible customer service, the manager offered no empathy for their mistake. No “please let me make this right for you” I was given the option to have my money refunded with no cake in hand, therefore ruining my daughters birthday, told I could come back in 2 hours and HOPEFULLY the cake would be done, or offered to pick a premade cake from the freezer out which would also not rectify the situation appropriately. The cake that I received was literally melting because it should have been made and frozen the day prior. I’m quite upset that it was picked up 3 hours later, so we even gave them an extra hour from what she told me, and it was so sloppily put together. Very disappointed in the overall experience and would never recommend this store. I will go to brown street from now on.

This location is in desperate need of competent management. Our visit made it painfully obvious that whoever is running this store has no standards for training, supervision, or basic customer service.

When my wife and I arrived, the parking lot had only two cars — ours included. Inside, just two other adults were sitting down. This was not a busy night by any stretch. Yet four teenage employees behind the counter looked completely lost, unprepared, and unmotivated.

My wife’s order — which was placed first — was completed long before mine, even though my order was just as simple. The employee assigned to mine spent over a minute aggressively scraping at a solid brick of ice cream like she had never seen one before. I calmly suggested using a different container, but instead of accepting a logical solution, she stubbornly kept struggling as if she had never been trained on the most basic part of the job: serving ice cream.

Before anything was even completed, another employee rushed over asking for payment. There was no urgency needed — there were no customers waiting, no chaos, nothing. And after being paid, they all simply stood around in the back, proving the rush to collect money was meaningless and unprofessional.

Despite requesting a large, I was handed what could barely be considered a small. And to make it worse — the toppings were not mixed into the ice cream at all. Cold Stone literally markets themselves on the concept of mixing toppings into the ice cream on the stone. Instead, mine was just plain ice cream with toppings tossed on top and shoved into a cone. For $16, we received a product that did not even follow the store’s own fundamental standard of preparation.

This shows a complete failure of leadership. When a store is this empty yet employees still can’t deliver correct orders or display basic knowledge, the problem is not just young workers — it is management that clearly doesn’t train them, doesn’t supervise them, and doesn’t care about customer experience.

Cold Stone Creamery claims to provide a “10-Minute Vacation.” What we got was a frustrating, poorly managed, unprofessional encounter that made us wish we hadn’t come inside at all.

Until this location hires real leadership and trains their staff to perform the bare minimum of what Cold Stone promises, we will not be returning — and I strongly recommend others do the same.

Went to this location a couple of weeks ago and got a huge piece of plastic in my ice cream. I contacted the owner to them know, as I had already left the restaurant and was accused of lying. I was told that they reviewed the security footage and talked to their employees and they couldn’t confirm my story. When I responded, incredulous, they came back with a sob story about how hard it is to be a business owner and how people are always trying to scam them, but they would send me a gift card. Why would I want to return to their store after getting the inside of my mouth cut? I requested a refund. It has been two weeks, so at this point it is clear I am getting neither.

Don’t order from here if you want delivery. I use doordash often and cold stone is always messing up the orders. I had ordered a creation the cake batter batter with additional topping fudge… I only received ice cream with fudge. They didn’t even put the ingredients that’s listed with the creation in it.
