I’ve been a loyal customer of this ice cream shop for years, but after my experience tonight, I’m really disappointed. I went in at 9 PM, and the first thing that struck me was how poorly the ice cream had been stored—it was already melting when I got it. The texture was off, and it was more of a slushy mess than the creamy treat I’m used to.
To make matters worse, the service was just terrible. The employee was on her phone the entire time, barely acknowledging me as I asked for extra Heath bar in my ice cream. I understand extra toppings cost more, and I was happy to pay, but she seemed irritated and made it clear that it was a hassle for her to add it. When I asked her to mix it in, it was done half-heartedly—barely mixed, and I could barely taste the Heath bar.
It’s really sad to see this place, which used to be one of my favorites, fall so far in terms of customer service. The ice cream quality wasn’t up to par, and the attitude I received was disappointing. I get that everyone has off days, but I won’t be coming back until I see some improvement. I hope management takes notice of the dip in service and does something to fix it. This used to be a special place, but now it just feels like a letdown.
I’ll be looking for new spots in the meantime.

I went here two times now. Their founder’s favorite signature creation is the best. After the first time I tasted it, I’ve been craving for it. There are a lot of people still buying ice cream despite it’s currently winter. I tipped the guy patiently and singlehandedly taking orders. Will come again to try the other ice cream

Brunette working Wednesday evenings clearly has attitude problems- girl gave me 2 reeses cups, gave everyone else 3 of their toppings- but me- 2 reeses cups, I asked for a third one, (asked nicely) (have been nice throughout our entire encounter)- come to find out, this chick charged me for an extra set of toppings……. IF YOU WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR EXTRA TOPPINGS, YOU HAVE SOME NERVE ONLY GIVING ME ONE EXTRA REESES CUP- IN THAT CASE, YOU SHOULD’VE GIVEN AT LEAST 2. Lucky today was already a horrible day for me.

This is absolutely the worst cold stone ever. They literally never have anything in the store. The fridge section is always empty the flavors are always out and the staff are always unenthusiastic. Now, I’m realistic, I don’t expect you to jump up and down with joy when a customer walks in. I work in customer service so I completely understand but DANG. At the very least act like you care about having a job. And even if you don’t want to do that AT LEAST HAVE SOME PRODUCT. Horrible le experience every time. Thank God La Plata has a cold stone.

Ridiculous pricing and even worse service. We took our kids here and ended up paying $30 for three ice creams. When I asked why a single cone was $10, the staff was incredibly rude and just said everything is the same price regardless of what you pick. There is no transparency here and the attitude from the staff is unacceptable. Definitely not worth the ‘premium’ price for basic service

I have been saying this time will be the last time going to this cold stone for about a year now. But today is definitely the last day. The ice cream is always melted. Always. The ratios are also off for orders. I get more melted ice cream and 1/5 of mix ins. I will be making that trip to another cold stone moving forward. This one used to be good.

We used to go here often for ice cream, but stopped doing that due to the long lines and wait times. Recently a friend dropped off their Strawberry passion ice cream cake, it was amazing!! My daughter wanted it for her birthday this year, I ordered it online, they have a separate section for online order pickups so there was no wait!aybe I’ll try the online order for the ice cream sometime . Anyway, their Ice cream cakes are amazing so make sure to try it!

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this Cold Stone. The staff is usually great, but that was definitely not the case during this visit. I ordered a Gotta Have It Banana Caramel Crunch, but the employee didn’t even know what that was.
To make matters worse, the portion size was unacceptable. I paid for a Gotta Have It size, yet received a container that was barely half full—as clearly shown in the photo.
To the owners: if you’re trying to identify the staff member responsible, it was a young Caucasian woman with brunette hair. Based on this experience, she either wasn’t trained properly or simply doesn’t care about doing her job correctly.

I’m writing to share a deeply upsetting experience I had at your Waldorf location. During my recent visit, my party and I were skipped in line by a young white male employee who proceeded to serve an older white man who arrived after us. Despite making it clear that we had been skipped, the employee did not acknowledge or correct the situation.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that instead of serving us himself, the employee instructed a Black female coworker to make our ice cream while he stood by. His demeanor and actions made me feel dismissed, unwelcome, and disrespected.
This experience left me feeling so uneasy that I couldn’t even enjoy the ice cream I had paid for. I no longer feel comfortable supporting this location and will not be returning.
I hope you take this matter seriously and look into the training and conduct of the staff at that location. No customer should ever feel invisible or mistreated especially in a way that appears to be racially motivated.
