It was a slow night, so I guess they were trying to close early. Felt a little rushed. The wings were really, really good! I didn’t try any Italian food. Maybe next time if I’m in the area again! Was in town on business.

Atmosphere- 4 stars- located behind the Middletown Commons in Whitehall this local establishment is very popular with the local community. Nicely decorated for the Christmas season. Very clean with ample seating.
Service- 3 stars- we had a friendly but not very experienced waitress.
Food- 4 stars- great pizza- not a huge fan of thick pizza but this is an exception. Only toppings available are pepperoni and peppers (hot or mild). They also have exceptional pepperoni rolls- probably the best I have ever had. They have a decent selection of Italian dishes and appetizers. I had the zing wings which were supposed to be spicy but there was no heat at all but still good. Also tried the grilled chicken salad and was a little disappointed in this dish- chicken was bland and salad a little boring. Highly suggest when coming here to get the pizza and pepperoni rolls.

Great local restaurant that has been there for about 75 years. The staff was great and very attentive. There was even live music by two performers, nice touch. The food was great and I was surprised how much I really like the pizza with the peppers. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth visiting.

I have been to a lot of countries around the world and eaten some of the best food that they have to offer, but I have never had anything anywhere as good as a Colassessano’s pepperoni bun. I always look forward to coming home to it. The Sicilian style pizza is also excellent. Head and shoulders above all the big pizza chains.

I like so many others who went to the original place and enjoyed many pizzas in a shirt box. And the huge pepperoni rolls. Well those days and times are gone but when ever I am in town I always make a point to get a pizza. While not like it used to be I still enjoy it and brings back great memories.

First time visiting, probably be the last time! Not sure if i just ordered the wrong food. Ordered 2 Italian deli and a large fry. Very disappointed. No onions, no hot peppers, no pepper relish! What????? How does anyone eat a hoagie without all the essentials?????? I can’t believe it. Smallest order of a large fry i have EVER seen!!!! I wouldn’t waste your time, Domino’s is better!

We ordered a large antipasto salad with French dressing and received Ranch dressing. I even spelled the dressing for the person who took the order. But that’s only a small problem. While the spider sandwich was ok (it was mostly bread with very little meat, cheese, and peppers), it was the chicken parmesan sandwich that was terrible. When I opened the container, there was sauce everywhere. I took off the top of the bun and what was underneath looked like a thin, dark hamburger patty. I called the restaurant to let them know we were bringing the chicken sandwich back for a refund and to pick up dressing. The person I spoke with asked where we live and I told him just a few minutes away, he said ok. When my husband arrived, the doors were locked. He knocked, but no one came to the door. It’s such a shame that this restaurant has declined so much. The original owners would never, ever have served such bad food.

Visited WV recently from Michigan and went to this establishment to purchase a dozen pepperoni rolls which was not possible because of the need to preorder. Understood. We asked the cost of the individual rolls and told $6 each; and after purchasing (4). Later, upon reviewing the menu, the cost for what we received was printed as $4.99 each. Very disappointed…as we discovered the disparity in price on our way home. However, at $6 each the quality was not worth $4.99. The bread roll was huge and not freshly made with 4 small strips of pepperoni. Won’t happen twice, and prayerfully this won’t happen twice either…to anyone else. Do better, please.

Sweet tea was terrible, waitress said “it depends on the day, and yeah it isn’t good”. Spaghetti was watered down terribly and noodles were not done, and didn’t come with the bread that I was advertised in the menu. Child menu chicken tenders were “mid” and applesauce did not come with a spoon.
