Please consider changing out that military rations level of a chicken patty. Everything else is such a step above!
(Always ordered via Uber/now DD)
We both ordered the Philly Cheesecake. Check out the photos. Where’s the steak???? The peppers, onions and mushrooms were raw and cold. What happend to sautéed vegetables.
When I asked the cashier if this is the norm, she told me she doesn’t do the cooking. I asked the waitress if the manager was in? No, sorry. We can only remake the sandwich if you want us too. I said why, when I’m going to be served the same crap? Subway is a better option.
After WVU football had their first at home game loss to Baylor (we need bigger players) we stopped to dine in at around 8pm on a Saturday evening. We ordered at the counter the special for the evening which was a large Mountaineer pizza and a dozen wings for $32.
We feed four people for less than $10 a person, in this economy. I think that is a deal. The Mountaineer is a pepperoni, Italian sausage, and meatball pizza. Their pizza is a soft, fresh, and chewy crust. If you are looking for thin and crunchy this version this not for you but I really enjoy different types of pizza. This is a great version of a same day dough pizza. The meatballs were homemade. Half sliced meatballs were tender and delicious. Highly recommend.
The wings were good. Excellent flavor. Tender. No crisp. Medium size. They were well coated with a generous amount of a tangy buffalo flavor with just enough heat. Served with celery and ranch which was not an extra charge.
It was counter service but the dinning room server delivered our food and checked on us twice then brought us boxes before clearing the table. That gets five stars in my book. The dinning room was an open space with lots of seating for groups and for tops. Lots of sport memorabilia which in most places would be covered in greasy dust. Not here. Very clean.
Try this place out for a post game meal.
They also play great music (classic rock and pop) and have lots of sports memorabilia lining the walls. Overall not a bad place and a classic restaurant in the area.
Ordered takeout got home and opened the boxes to see the food was burnt we all tried it anyways and it even tasted burnt and was really dry not the norm we have ever received here so my wife called the restaurant and told them and she asked for a refund since we don’t live local to the restaurant or we would have accepted a credit she was told to upload pics to their fb messenger and the owner would get with us shortly. She uploaded the pics on Friday evening and gave plenty of time for a response so she called back Monday mid-afternoon to get an update and got no where but told the manager just left and they would let them know come Tuesday crickets so my wife calls again and this time was given the excuse the owner was so busy then put on hold again and then lied to when they said the owner Suzy called my phone but got my voice-mail but never left a voice-mail strange huh? then said the owner would be calling my wife within an hour NO ONE EVER CALLED so Wednesday came and my wife was left with no choice but to contact our bank for a dispute in the charge. This is all around sad we really liked the food in the past and always stopped when we were in the area we understand mishaps happen but to be neglectful of your customers is not acceptable and how everything was handled was ridiculous not one time did a manager get on the phone it was just constant run arounds rather than to boss up and admit a mistake. We won’t be back and I caution you all to run if this is how customers are treated when they mess up and burn your food.
We drove over to the location and for about 6pm not very busy..went in and to our displeasure found it was a order at counter and grab a seat style dining. We prefer table service. I felt rushed trying to read menu over head. Several items I wanted they no longer served. She said recently changed menu and it was not reflected yet.
So we went with small 10″ Pepperoni and Cheese Pizza, a order of the Stuffed Banana Peppers and a order of Garlic Bread in a basket. We seated ourselves and placed our number on our table like directed.
After about 15 minutes she brought out the Peppers and Pizza but no bread. She said she would be right back, but it was 15 minutes later…
The pizza was okay, not the BEST but it was pizza, there was 4 slices and we left one behind. The Garlic Bread was late to the party but hot, fresh and good! The Stuffed Banana Peppers (which is why I went) was very disappointing! I was presented with Three Sliced open Peppers with Four Italian Sausage links laying sort of beside them with melted mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce…looked nothing like the advertising photo. The peppers were NOT STUFFED but sliced in halves long ways…very disappointed!! The sauce was good, the peppers were okay, they were a little al dente’ for my taste and preference. The Italian Sausages were slightly spicy but again NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.
$24 for dinner and left $3 in tip bucket where you order. I had lemonade and Tony had Budweiser. Nothing to brag about. Don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. I recommend because you’re experience might be better than ours. Nothing we ate left us craving a repeat performance!! Hope you like them!!
