However, most of the BBQ items were unavailable. Although we were told the Chicken Tikka was available, it was not prepared as BBQ, which suggests it may not have been available either. The Chicken Biryani was acceptable, but the chicken itself did not seem fully cooked. The Peshawari karhai, unfortunately, did not meet expectations in terms of flavor or quality.
Overall, while the service was attentive and the environment comfortable, the food availability and execution need improvement for a better dining experience.
Nice seating area too!
I loved and enjoyed the food especially my favorite was the Chicken Biryani & the Mutton Karahi.
Yes, Biryani, and Nihari were not ordered yesterday but I also visited this restaurant on (or around) Nov 10th, 2025 (see the cc receipt uploaded in the photos. I urge the owner the refute this). On previous visit I ordered, chicken karahi, nihari, biryani, gola kabab, masala fries and 2 cup of tea. The food quality sucked that day too except for chicken karahi (which I graciously mentioned in my original review). I wanted to give this restaurant another chance but since the owner kind of implied that I am not being truthful, the fact is the owner is being not truthful himself. The complaint was made while I was in the restaurant and his reply was “جیسا گوشت پیچھے سے آتا ہے ہم ووہی استمعال کرتے ہیں ” which contradicts his claim they always use quality ingredients. Bottom line is, they don’t care what ingredients they use.
And yes, we ate whatever we could. We were not looking for a free meal nor for any discounts.
Even during my last visit the elderly gentleman (probably the other owner) asked for the quality of food and I told him politely that it was not up to the standard. The service is slow, food was put on table without plates, napkins and silverware. In any event, I wish this place good luck. I just won’t not be visiting again!!
p.s. the mutton pulao that was purchased to-go also taste horrible.
The food quality is below average. If you must go to this place stick with chicken karahi only Their mutton is poor quality and they don’t even bother to clean the meat. Half of the mutton karahi was inedible due to excessive fatty pieces that were cooked along with meat. Nehari and biryani was another disappointment.
There are far better desi food places in OC than this joint.
