This quaint coffee shop was a greats stop for when we were driving up to Tahoe. I ordered the Hot chocolate and my friend got a latte. They both were really good and I enjoyed how nice the people there were and if we had more time we would’ve probably sat down and ate a proper breakfast. The one thing I would note is that it may take a little while for your drinks/food to come as I noticed it took a bit longer than usually for it to come. Other than that a cute coffee shop I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

I asked for a custom cake and everything was extremely easy and well handled. The cake was perfect and staff were amazing. I was able to write a custom message, this bakery is great for birthdays! Good coffee too

I came for the first time yesterday on my way to camping. I ordered a pistachio filled donut and the lavender tea latte. I LOVED the lavender tea latte. Yum! The donut was an amazing donut but I wouldn’t call it pistachio filled. Its your standard Boston cream filling turned green .. I didnt taste pistachio.
I came back again the next morning since my campground isn’t far. I ordered a bacon croissant breakfast sandwich, plain chocolate donut, lavender tea latte and iced mocha- $35 for those 4 items. Yikes. Prices are outrageous here.
The mocha is, eh. Nothing special. The breakfast sandwich, at first I thought it was the wrong sandwich. I opened it up and it looked like feta or something on it and I didn’t see bacon. I drove all the way back to the store. Nope, its a bacon sandwich, they just scramble their eggs in a weird, gross way. So if you have texture issues, it will freak you out like it did me. They are wet, cottage cheesy eggs. I dumped the eggs out. Thats crappy for a 14$ breakfast sandwich.
Go for a donut and lavender tea latte.

The expansion is awesome. Lots of seating including high tops with computer hookups. Plenty of parking and tons of great food. Good gluten free options too.

We have been going to coffee bar bakery for about 7 years now. We live about 2 hours away and drive up every few months to visit Truckee and always stop here. In the past we have ordered gluten free sourdough for pick up and then we take it home and freeze it to have on hand. On Friday 1/30 my husband called and placed an order since we were planning to come Sunday. He ordered 5 loaves and gave his name. The person he spoke to didn’t mention pre paying but he remembered we always prepay so he brought it up, the employee told him no need to pre pay and he was set. We showed up Sunday to pick up our bread and it was no where to be found. The employees handled this poorly, the first employee we spoke to disappeared without answering us or getting us the other bakery items we ordered there, we had to ask another employee to help us since she disappeared. When we finally were able to get an answer we explained the situation and the employee told us it was our fault we didn’t pre pay. My husband told the situation to the kitchen manager after no one followed up with us and all she said it was because they have new staff and we could buy the one loaf of the red pepper, we had ordered just regular plain. They obviously didn’t care and took no accountability, just made excuses or blamed us. Such a disappointing experience. I love what coffee bar stands for but I think they need to do some training on how to treat customers, how to apologize and how to repair when mistakes happen. I understand when you hire new employees and are training there are going to be mistakes but when there are there should easily be repair, accountability and a sincere apology. I didn’t expect to leave with bread but we did expect a sincere apology, accountability and repair after we drove 2 hours with one of our main goals being picking up this bread.

Outstanding matcha latte. Great baked goods. Friendly service on a cool space that makes you want to stay. Doesn’t get any better. This place has become a mainstay for us when visiting Truckee.

Very nice location and I loved how much space there was in the shop and plenty of space to hangout with friends! I ordered an iced mocha and while it was good I thought it was lacking just a little bit of flavor but overall pretty good. It was also 6.50$ for a medium iced mocha which is a little on the pricey side so just keep that in mind, but overall a positive experience!

Unbelievably good gf sourdough, soft and fluffy and loved by gluten lovers and gf alike. Great coffee and pastries, perfect stop to grab food and coffee before heading over the pass, right off the freeway and easy parking

Gonna be in Truckee and need coffee or snacks? Here’s what you need to know: convenient location, the service is at a somewhat slower pace compared with Sacramento or the Bay area, amazing selection of baked goods, coffee prices are a little high. Overall, a fun experience and good food and drinks.

Delicious bakery. The baked goods had the perfect texture and sugar content. Good for a little sugar hit before a hike.
