My wife’s illness took us to Salt Lake City for a diagnosis so we’re on Hwy 80 approaching Elko, Nevada and by now we’re getting hungry. So we Googled for restaurants and she came up with the Coffee Mug Cafe. It’s a huge restaurant attached to the Beer Mug bar, very clean and nicely laid out. The staff were pleasant and helpful and present. I had the ham and cheese omelet which came with hash browns and 2 blueberry pancakes and was delicious! My wife decided on ham steak and eggs with hash browns and toast and she says it didn’t disappoint! Overall our meals were delicious, the service was great and the price point was about we’re you would expect. I don’t hesitate to recommend the Coffee Mug restaurant to anyone!!

Our server was incredible. She was polite, quick and accommodating. Food was okay. It’s definitely more like casino food quality rather than home cooked quality. To be honest the food was edible but nothing of effort or cravable. Leaves you missing something. But in a pinch and conveniently downtown near hotels/motels, it’ll work for a meal.

My wife and I came here because our hotel clerk told us it was family run with great food. We love family run and the food did not disappoint. The decor is up to date and large enough to seat about 100 for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and came with au jus and excellent horseradish. Dinner included large salad, potato, vegetables and a dinner roll. Desserts are homemade. Carrot cake slice was like a 1/4 of the cake. Service was top notch and fast. Highly recommend!

Cool place to grab some breakfast, lunch or dinner. I got the maybe Mexican omelette with extra avocado a side of bacon and sour cream. Coffee and some more coffee. They have in-house made desserts. Look at the hand sized cookies, small banana bread loaf. Homemade pies and cinnamon rolls. To finish the dining experience you can also get a milkshake vanilla chocolate or strawberry. It’s worth a stop and I’ll be back if I can.

Great service! Had Steve for my waiter. Super friendly guy. Wasn’t too pushy, didn’t “bother” me. Offered a good recommendation! Got the pastrami burger, with Piccadilly potatoes/fries. Had never heard of Piccadilly before. But they were great! I’m here for work, from Idaho. So I loved that they had fry sauce without me asking and getting the odd question of “what’s fry sauce”?
Pastrami burger was tasty! Soda was cold, and crisp. Restaurant was clean. Service was excellent. Thanks for taking care of the traveler. Have a Merry Christmas
