I came here a couple times while visiting Bar Harbor. I’m a plain latte guy, and there’s was 6.5/10 quality for me. I think they focus more on the speciality drinks, and have a very good-looking menu for those. The precipice latte (white mocha with blueberry) I had was a little on the sweet side, but the espresso and flavors still came through strongly, so I liked it quite a bit. The bakery looks amazing.. cookies, pies, donuts, scones, etc. Of course I had to give the blueberry pie a try when in Maine. It was solid; it had a very tasty, buttery, and rich crust, and the filling was pretty decent and abundant. The place also doubles as a carryout restaurant that serves lobster rolls, bfast sandwiches, and crepes. There’s no sitting space. Overall, I was pleased with this place and I’d recommend it to anybody visiting Bar Harbor. I think they open earlier than most other coffee shops in town, so it’s a treat to my fellow early birds!

Cute place with decent coffee and great donuts. I recommend any of the blueberry pastries, the donut was fresh and tasted like a blueberry muffin in donut form. The mac n cheese was not the best but still a fine snack.
Food and drinks came out pretty quick and its nice that they use buzzers

Stopped in for coffee and came out with much more than that! We both got hot lattes, they weren’t out of the ordinary and were really on the sweet side. They had a lot of great signature latte flavors, though! They also have a lot of hot, tasty treats. It was hard to decide, but we got a popover with blueberry jam, a Belgian waffle, and a blueberry donut. The blueberry jam was flavorful and went perfectly with the hot and fresh popover. The Belgian waffle was covered in a delicious maple butter, and the blueberry donut was moist and flavorful and lives rent free in my head! The only struggle is that there is no seating, and it is very small in there.

We were getting lunch at Geddy’s when we saw that this coffee shop would be closed when we got finished, so we ordered to-go! The popover with the blueberry jam and maple butter was TO DIE FOR! I got the acadian turtle latte and it was very good. I got it ½ sweet and that was perfect for me because I like to taste my coffee a little bit. I wish they had been open longer because I would’ve liked to try more of their pastries but I knew we already had more food than we could handle. They had such a wonderful spread of cookies and other pastries. They also sell lobster rolls and souvenirs inside!

we came here for coffee pretty much every morning during our trip to Bar Harbor – the lattes were so good, especially The Precipice (blueberry & white chocolate), & while we had originally planned to try a few different coffee spots we ended up loving Coffee Hound so much we kept coming back. I will be thinking about the Precipice lattes & wishing I could get one at home. everyone who helped us was very nice & the coffees came out quick.

We hit Coffee Hound Coffee two mornings during our stay in Bar Harbor this year. The food was pretty good but you have to get there early if you want to get the cinnamon rolls. I generally don’t have a sweet tooth but could not resist the massive chocolate chip cookies and biscotti. The coffee was also good. The kids got the breakfast sandwiches and the only real complaint was that the avocado was $2 but was just a premade spread, not fresh avocado. What are you going to do? Everything in Bar Harbor is prohibitively expensive and I would not buy it in any other setting.

Bella serves up the nicest coffee this side of the Atlantic. The iced matcha is amazing. If you like really good coffee you must stop by The Stadium in Bar Harbor for the BEST popovers and coffee

The coffee quality here was very disappointing. My husband ordered the Australian white and I tried a latte- both tasted bitter and unpleasant. The barista at the counter was very kind and even remade the drinks for us, but unfortunately the flavor didn’t improve. I couldn’t finish my coffee. It seems the beans may have been over-roasted, which is surprising for a coffee shop in downtown Bar Harbor where you’d expect higher quality.
I was also looking forward to the blueberry pie, but it was another letdown. It was served cold, even though I asked if it could be warmed up, with no crust on the bottom, and lacked the flavor and texture I’d hoped for. I honestly don’t understand the rave reviews about it.
Overall, between the disappointing coffee and blueberry pie, I would not return.

Great find!!! Best lavender latte I’ve ever had. Very up beat casual place. Excellent customer service and food cooked the way you want it. It smelled so good just walking in and seeing freshly made food being prepared. They have sweet treats too. No table service but the park is very close to sit and enjoy your food. Super bonus… the place is Dog friendly!!!
