Really nice coffee spot with great drinks and a cozy atmosphere. The coffee was well made and the staff was friendly. A couple small things could be improved, but overall a solid place to grab a cup.

Really great coffee shop in Providence area. About a 10-15 minute walk from the Brown University campus. The vibes inside are amazing being the shop is an old house. Lots of coffee options to try, along with teas and sweet treats for sale. They also sell many different types of beans you can buy.

I love their caramel latte here. Not very bitter, not super aromatic. Just good coffee.
I used to love their pasteis de nata but I don’t believe they still sell those here.

One of the best Latte’s I’ve ever tried. Have had the privilege to try some great cafes in Korea, Japan and all around Asia but I’d say Coffee Exchange would be the best as far as Lattes are concerned. I highly recommend the pastries too, their croissants were great. Very relaxing atmosphere and a must visit if you’re in Providence.
I would want to try their beans when I go back and visit.

I’ve lived in Rhode Island all my long life. I’m a bit of a coffee snob. Coffee Exchange has the best coffee in the state bar none. It just does; it always has. If you can find a better cup of coffee, seriously, let me know!

This place is so cute and has great service! They have tons of coffee beans from around the world, a functional workspace upstairs, and delicious coffee. I got a a latte and the art was a nice touch to a perfect coffee shop.

The coffee was good, but the service was not good. I waited around 20 mins for my latte, which is not a big deal, but it was strange that the two men behind me got their drinks within a couple mins, in fact, the whole line behind me got their drinks well before mine came out. And when it did, neither me nor my friend had our names or orders called out, even though the cashier asked for my name and I spelt it out for him twice. It may have been because it was quite busy and chaotic in there, but it seemed strangely intentional, as they finished both me and my friends order at the same time, despite them ordering about 5 mins after me.
As far as the atmosphere, its a cute old building, but its quite cold and loud inside, making it difficult to do work. Also the pastries are really bad. My croissant was bland and tasted old. I would not recommend the food.
I would not go back, as the treatment from the staff, and some of the patrons (based on the conversations I was overhearing) made me a bit uncomfortable in there.

I have been coming here to meet my friend from Boston for 30+ years, or come in just to grab a cup of joe and read the alt weekly. Got here early today to grade papers before my friend arrived only to find out WIFI is available Monday through Friday only. Cannot grade anything. Huge inconvenience and waste of my time. I’m actually supposed to be grading projects and emailing students who, based on their project grades, will be exempt from taking the final exam next week. Instead I am just sitting here getting Zero work I had planned to do accomplished. I will actually NEVER come here again when I could have gone to any other coffee shop and gotten my work done. Coffee Exchange, you have lost a lifelong customer.
