Serving Miscela d’Oro Italian coffee beans that are considered to be some of the finest in the world. Drip brew coffee: medium/dark.

We got a cappuccino and a Chai Tea Latte, both were incredible. Great flavors and smooth. The decorations all around were relaxing and inviting. The wall art, in the sitting area, is for sale. Enjoy businesses that support other small businesses! A great detour off I-95 in VA. They have some great selections of pastries and food.

I visited about 1.5 hrs before close (4:30p) and was the only other customer there. I promptly ordered and sat and waited for a short time for drinks and 2 sandwiches. EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Even if you don’t want coffee, the paninis are to die for, seriously. My little girls had the strawberry fruity smoothie and it was all gone now in a few minutes.
This was my very first visit but it is definitely not going to be my last. We typically have to drive anywhere from 20-30 min for the average competitor coffee and it’s not as welcoming as this place is PLUS IT FEELS NICER TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS.
Visit this Shop! I’m very satisfied.

☕️ Just had the best morning at Common Coffee! Ordered the croissant with eggs and cheese, and it was absolute perfection . Flaky, buttery croissant paired with a perfectly cooked egg and melted cheese… heavenly! The cappuccino was also top-notch, rich and smooth. Highly recommend stopping by for a delicious breakfast!

We wanted to try Signature latte as we are so used to. We came across this small town & found this superbly furnished coffee place. Its a quaint antique bakery cum coffee shop with so much more to offer. It has a history [read on their website] We ordered 2 medium size lattes, they were excellent. Now we know this for sure to stop on our every trip & try many more items.
Can’t wait to visit again

If you are in the LadySmith, VA area and have never been you need to go. Absolutely the best coffee shop I have been to that is not a large chain. Excellent customer service. Great atmosphere. Space inside and out. And a menu with more options than I can remember. Excellent on prices too.

This place has potential and I would give them another try.
For this first visit, I really liked the kind staff and appreciate the spacious interior and their open outdoor seating. I ordered a double espresso that was a bit too watery (extraction time is too long? My drink ~ 6oz, about half of the small paper cup). Also ordered a scone, and was surprised by the soft texture.

Less than 5 minutes off I-95, this sweet coffee shop offers travelers a break from the usual fast food/fast coffee shops. I ordered a half Panini chicken bacon ranch, which was more than enough to fill me up for lunch. I was really happy to see this coffee shop, unlike most others, post their flavors so that I could customize my coffee drink. There were a decent amount of food options, including vegan and gluten-free options, and prices are what you would expect from any coffee house. The atmosphere is light and roomy, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Probably gonna get a lot of hate for this review, but it is just my opinion. First thing to note is super friendly staff and a really cool venue. Very inviting
Here’s the part people aren’t gonna like what I say. I think they can do better. The croissants are flat and tasteless. Both my daughter and I thought the egg was just OK. I would love to see them get more fluffy pastry like croissants I would love it if they just cracked an egg on the grill, rather than use what I’m guessing was a microwave or other. To be clear of my thoughts, when I go to Mom and Pop restaurant I’m happy to wait. The reason most people seek out a local business is to show them support. I do expect a more thoughtful food preparation.
note to the owners, if you took another 10 minutes for my order, I wouldn’t have been upset. Those that are upset over a delay should go over to McDonald’s. This place is not McDonald’s and I’m happy about that but I wouldn’t go back.

My husband and I stopped in after seeing the Walk for Peace monks off on their continuing journey up Rt. 1. We each got a breakfast croissant and coffee beverage, and split a crumb cake. Everything was delicious. Friendly service, quaint and cozy atmosphere.

The positive is that Coffee Common Grounds is a beautiful shop and very clean. It’s a nice place to meet and have a cup of coffee. In fact, if you are just looking for a place to have coffee and meet, then I would rate Coffee Common Grounds much higher. I rated Coffee Common Grounds because the online food photos did not reflect reality. They offer no begals, yogurt parfet, scones, or anything else as pictured online. The menu on the wall suggests you can get waffles, but that too isn’t true. The reality is that there is a very small selection of pastries, cake type items, and some simple breakfast sandwiches on croissant and panini sandwiches. The quality of the food was cold meat on a standard bread. Also, there are no vegan options. Bottom line, we will not be back. I hope Coffee Common Grounds updates their web presence to reflect reality and that they improve their food options because then Coffee Common Grounds would be a great coffee shop.
