I return to COFFEE & Restaurant for another delicious breakfast. I had grits, an omelette, and a pancake with some HI-C drink. I received the same service as last time, but this time ANNIE MARIE was my waitress and SHAWN was the cook. The food was good, and the service was amazing. This restaurant is the truth and is open 24 hours as well. They have King Cakes for sale, and they’re finger-licking good. They make you feel at home. I didn’t want to leave. The Rap Team Media co-signs it. Thank you for your wonderful service.

Was just there this past weekend, the food my guest and I ordered was about what it always had been in the past which is okay. Now let’s move on to the service. I have always left cash tips, and always check my receipts after they have cleared. Now Shelly C. has decided to ink in her own tip.Last time I will ever go into this place. In my experience when employees step out side these bounds of self integrity there is no fixing this issue. There is a clear lack of mangement. Also as I have stated in the past I only post the less than 5 star reviews , because I believe there is more honesty in this approach.

When you’ve been a regular like me. You know the quality difference. They fired good people or didn’t pay them what they deserved… place has gone down hill as far as ordering on the night schedule…. my breakfast order made me more depressed….

This spot has always been one of my go-to places whenever I’m back in town visiting friends and family. It used to be a reliable choice where I knew I’d get a satisfying meal at a fair price. Unfortunately, my last few visits haven’t lived up to the standard I’ve come to expect.
On my most recent trip, I ordered the smothered liver, which has been one of my favorites in the past. This time, however, it had almost no seasoning and arrived barely warm, which really took away from the experience. Consistency is so important when it comes to comfort food, and it felt like the kitchen may have been rushing or cutting corners.
The service is always friendly, and I do appreciate that the waitresses try their best to keep up with a busy dining room. That said, they clearly need more support. The restaurant would really benefit from hiring more eager and competent help so that the staff isn’t stretched so thin.
One thing that continues to stand out in a positive way is the pricing. Meals are still reasonably priced, which makes it a good option for families or groups on a budget. I truly hope management makes some improvements soon, because this has been a long-time favorite of mine and I’d love to see it return to the quality and consistency it once had.

Love this place. I think everyone should try their King Cakes. Specially the Bavarian and Pralines. They have mini and full size. Must order at least 2 days in advance. You can choose various options.

Finally tried fried gator, and it was the best of the table, tasted like a chewy chicken breast nuggets. We had seafood platter, fish poboy and fried gator, desserts are banana fritter and strawberry donut holes. The fried fish tasted fresh, but after couple of bites, I was fried out… the seasonings are very good, but too heavy to my liking. First time having banana fritter, it tasted like banana bread with apple fritter texture. Strawberry donut hole was glazed donut hole with sweet strawberry jam inside. Overall, if you want to experience the local culture, this is a very down to earth diner, and the portions are large! Definitely embrace the culture!
