Fantastic experience from start to finish. Very good service, food was exactly what was expected and atmosphere was lively yet not too over the top. The nice thing was that the staff seemed like they actually wanted to be there which makes a massive difference to the overall experience. We were a large group but only had to wait 30 mins to be seated. Food arrived quickly and on time. Drinks from the bar were very reasonable when compared to other places close-by. Highly recommended

The original post is from around 6-4: We sat at a booth in the bar area. Bartenders were busy, which led to a slow initial greeting. Service did improve and became attentive. Hubby had their fish sandwich, which was huge. The fish over hung the bun. I was deciding between their 10oz top sirloin $10.99 or a bourbon sirloin 10oz $16.99. I wanted extra flavor, so I went with the bourbon sirloin tip cooked medium. Hubby enjoyed his food. I, on the other hand, did not have the best flavorful experience. My steak was overcooked and missing the bourbon flavor. The only taste I had was the smoke from the grilling. The bartender did offer to return it, but I said, “Don’t worry, I’ll make do.” I remembered stories (from a different restaurant employee) of what happened to patrons food if they sent it back, so I didn’t want to take any chances. Overall, the service was good. Just need more flavor on the specialty foods. Cody’s Roadhouse is an ok neighborhood place to eat.

If nothing else, you gotta go for the rolls and cinnamon butter. So good! I personally think Amy is the best server. Truly the sweetest thing and always so joyful. The hostesses are also very kind. The kitchen staff could be a bit kinder. My husband and I love steak, but when it looks cooked on the outside and purely raw in a very uncomfortable way, maybe don’t sound judgmental that you cooked it incorrectly? Be humble and kind like everyone else there.

We haven’t been to Cody’s in several months. Last night we came in & it was busy because of BOGO fajitas. Our waiter, Chris, was one of the best we’ve had in years. He was friendly, communicated often, and let us know if something was taking an extra few minutes. My baked potato wasn’t very warm and he replaced it very quickly with a piping hot potato and with a great attitude. He brought drink refills out quickly, noticing when we were running low. He’s a great asset to Cody’s!

We usually sit at the bar, and they have the best bartenders around. The food here is very good. Huge portions. Tasty. 1/2 a chicken and mashed potatoes, no gravy is awesome. Their salads are fresh and full of different stuff.

Nice place to go for a date night. It doesn’t look like much on the outside. The inside has a lot of things from days gone by. There was 4 of us and the wait time wasn’t that long. It was a week night and the turn over went pretty quick. Can’t say what the weekends are like. The food was awesome and served in a timely manner. The paper table cover made the wait time fun. Bring your own crayons.

Food was good. We came later in the evening so they were out of prime rib. They were playing some pretty loud hard rock which you wouldn’t expect. Overall the service was good and if you like spicy ranch overdressed salad then it’s the place to be.
