My wife and I went there today and were welcomed warmly right from the start. The hostess and our waitress truly made us feel like family. The food was OMG—delicious.

Before visiting, we read a few negative reviews about wait times and a “hidden” gratuity charge. However, once we received the menu, it was clear that the gratuity is clearly posted—some people simply don’t read or pay attention.

One of the hosts came over and asked if it was our first time there. When we said yes, he took the time to explain the history behind the restaurant’s name, which I thought was an amazing and thoughtful touch.

If you’re ever in the Harrisburg area, definitely add this hidden gem to your bucket list of restaurants to try.

This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was genuinely excited to support a Black-owned business. I came in with high expectations and an open mind.

When we arrived, the first question we were asked was whether we had reservations. The website doesn’t mention that reservations are required, but thankfully they were still able to seat us. After being seated, we waited close to an hour for our food, which was disappointing.

Our waitress was warm and welcoming, and I truly appreciated her energy. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff did not come across as friendly or inviting. The overall atmosphere felt cold outside of our server’s service.

The decor is absolutely beautiful. You can tell thought and intention went into the design of the space. The food itself was good, well seasoned and flavorful. However, the portions were very small for the price point.

I’m from New York and was just looking forward to trying great food in a welcoming environment. While the presentation and flavors were there, the hospitality experience did not match. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Was staying in the Hershey area and looking for somewhere to eat, we were so happy that we stumbled on this gem. The service was fantastic and food was to die for. I had the apple cobbler french toast which was a special for the day and my friend had the empanadas. We also had coffee cake to share, probably the best coffee cake we’ve ever had. If I could compare this restaurant to something it would be like a warm hug from your grandmother, definitely would be back if I was ever in the area again.

We’re visiting from out of town, so I looked around on Google a bit for a brunch spot and found this place. It was a bit of a struggle to find parking, but we were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. Our server was so sweet and the food was delicious! Some of the best french toast I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back if in the area again!

Most unbelievable experience. Between the beautiful and unique atmosphere, beyond spectacular food and lovely and welcoming hosts. This is a family owned and run restaurant. Well worth the wait. Don’t rush through the experience

We ate here for brunch/early lunch and the experience was wonderful. We were greeted and sat without a reservation quickly. I did call ahead of time and was told that a reservation might be better on the weekends but it worked out for us today. We sat at the bar and our server was knowledgeable and ready to answer any of our questions. She was a delight and so was another server who helped us too.The food was delicious! We had a complimentary mimosa – which they offered 4 flavors to choose from. Jazz music played softly in the background which matched the atmosphere and decor. 5 stars hands down and we plan to go back to try more of the menu.

We enjoyed our food and the pace in which things came! We leave tomorrow for home and plan to come back before we leave. Wish this place was near us cause the food is AMAZING!! I got the Southern Crab Cake Benedict. Can I tell you!! Made me want to dance. Hubby got the Morning Burger and the cheese cake stuffed French toast! Y’all!! Heaven on earth! Thank you for a LOVELY experience!

Truly a wonderful restaurant offering an immaculate experience. Estelle was our server and she was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendations when I asked.

When I first walked in I was greeted with a wonderfully designed space featuring art from local artists celebrating multiple cultures. The entire establishments atmosphere was immaculate and had me engaged with discovering fun statement pieces. Music was on point and was great for the space.

I had the special of a peach cobbler French toast and it genuinely was the best I have ever had. The plating was excellent and complimented the care of creating the dish being served. It came with a delicious bourbon syrup that was not over sweet and paired nicely with my meal.

My wife had a menu regular called “the business man” and was greeted with a clean presentation of eggs, chicken sausage, and potatoes. The coffee was great and came with any offering of creamer and sugar one would expect. I tried the chicken sausage and was throughly impressed.

I cannot recommend this establishment enough and will make this a must stop for breakfast/brunch anytime I am in the Harrisburg area.
