Was searching for places for tacos place that wasn’t near me in this place popped up, found it by accident. Was immediately greeted at the door by the hostess and was promptly sat down. I had already known what I was going to order and they had it on the menu the chimichangas and my date had the fajitas.

I have to say that I was delighted by how delicious the food was. I expected it to be just another typical place but the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices weren’t too extravagant. The owner had to come into the restaurant as she owns the place next door(sweet lula’s) and she came up to us asking how the service was. Talk to her for maybe 5 minutes and explain to her that I was excited about their place. She was a very energetic and ecstatic woman and very polite and kind.

Food was excellent and across from Broadway Theater which made it convenient. Dining area could use a freshen up but again the food is great in a great area.

Found the place waiting to pick up my wife from this martini bar across the street. Order two single tacos which only $6 a piece. They cooked it up very fresh and I wish I had taken a picture of the tacos but somehow they disappeared so fast. I definitely will try again, when around this part of town.

I am never eating at Chipotle again. This place is awesome.

Downtown Pitman is getting a lot of good restaurants that are worth checking out if you live around here. Coco’s Cocina Tex-Mex on Broadway is a good little Mexican BYOB restaurant located across the street from the Broadway Theatre.

If you’re eating in, it may be a little cramped, but it wasn’t anything that really bothered me. We made reservations, because it seems to be a really popular place and there was a line of people who just kind of showed up. I would recommend making a reservation so you don’t have to wait in line.

I went with a group of people. We ordered chimichangas, chicken fajitas, fish burrito, and I ordered a beef burrito. I’ve included pictures below to show you what you get on your plate. I’ve also included the menu so you can see prices.

My beef burrito was very good. It came with pulled beef, beans, rice, cheese, and pico de gallo in a flour tortilla. I asked for jalapenos and the tomatillo sauce. It was so good. I couldn’t eat it all! The portions are a good size for the money. Washed it down with a Mexican pineapple soda.

We spent $100 for 5 people, which isn’t bad. Everyone had leftovers. Thank heavens it was chilly because we left the takeaway bags in the car while we went to the show (more of that in another review).

I’m definitely taking a trip back here. I highly recommend it. 4 out of 5. Excellent food. The only knock is that it is cramped, if you’re not used to eating in close places, I’d wear a mask if that sort of thing bothers you. Most restaurants on Broadway get very cramped on busy nights. I’m used to that sort of thing, but I know everybody isn’t.

Just to give you some advice, if you’re planning on dinner and a show, make sure you go to the dinner first. Most of the restaurants on Broadway close at around 9:00 p.m. so there’ll be no place to eat on Broadway when you get out of your show.

The food is not comparable for the $20 they charge. Their burrito looks like it should be on the kids menu .

Ordered delivery tonight for 4 people. Food came faster than stated, which was the only good part. The food was luke warm at best, and not much flavor. Also, wayyyy overpriced and not nearly as good compared to other tex mex restaurants in the Gloucester County area. I can scratch this establishment off of my list of 2nd visits

We ordered take-out and it was delivered must faster than they said, and the food was excellent. The shrimp tacos were the best I have ever had!

In the times we are currently living in, it’s rather hard to make ends meet and naturally eating out is becoming a luxury that more and more people are struggling to afford. This is why it’s so important for me to warn people before they spend their hard earned money and end up disappointed like me. In all honesty, this food is trash. I want you to take a look at the negative reviews and BELIEVE them. Seriously. I’ve had Tex-mex before so I was prepared for the typical delicious authentic Mexican food with an Americanized spin. This is not that.. this food lacks any shred of authenticity. Hell it’s not even authentic to true tex-mex.

Let’s start with the chips and guacamole. Take a look at the picture I attached. Now ask yourself how much does an cost? About $1.50? How much does a standard size bag of chips cost? If they are authentic MAYBE around $5. And keep in mind that’s for an entire bag. I just brought a bag from the grocery store and it was priced at $2.69. So I for the life of me can’t figure out what warranted this pathetic portion size of chips and guacamole to cost nearly TEN DOLLARS. Are you kidding? They put the guacamole in one of the side cups you use for ketchup. Sad.

The taco platter was….interesting to say the least. As soon as I opened it and saw the way the rice looked I knew I had made a huge mistake. Standard boiled white rice with some type of red seasoning mixed in to make it look like Mexican rice. When I actually tasted what was in the platter it seemed to me like they seasoned everything (rice, beans, meat) with mainly chili powder. The entire flavor profile is barely edible. And the presentation was awful. They used regular iceberg lettuce that got extremely soggy. Some of it was even mixed into the rice . And my biggest concern of all was the tortillas they used for the “tacos”. It’s like they grabbed the white flour fake packaged tortillas from ShopRite. They didn’t even have the decency to properly grill the tortilla first. The tortilla tasted similar to plain white wonderbread.and did I mention how soggy everything was? Do yourself a favor and skip this place. The other reviewer is wrong. Even with Chipotle’s recent fall from grace, it’s still much much better than this. I’m questioning if those positive reviews are even real

We were visiting Pittman during the Craft fair and stopped at Coco’s Cocina for a gluten free lunch. We sat very comfortably outside and were waited upon immediately despite the restaurant being almost full. The shrimp and chicken. tacos and side of guacamole were amazing. I highly recommend stopping and supporting this local business, especially if you are Gluten Free or vegetarian.
