My husband’s burger was like a hockey puck, he was never asked how he wanted it done but the waitress put “no pink” on the order. The shrimp tacos were really good, but the cilantro was WAY overwhelming. We will come back in the future though, hopefully it was just a fluke!

3.7 stars to be honest.
Coconut Island is a new business just off the freeway at the Mellon exit. I love island food and theirs is quite good. Wait staff was very friendly and in her words, “AweSOME”.
The decor is lacking on island flare and the country/pop music definitely takes away from an “Island” feel.
The drink menu does have a lot of cute names drinks.
The one item I have to take issue with is the table menu say $2 off appetizers. However the waitress said that was wrong it was only $1. I said, “This is your advertising. It can’t be wrong.” She replied, “it’s in the system (cash register) as $1 and I can’t change it.” I honestly doubt she could and don’t blame her. However management should correct the table label!
Good food. Cute staff. Will probably be back.

Great beer on tap and the waitstaff was friendly and courteous. This was my first visit. It was a cute little place. My friend was impressed with the fish tacos. I didn’t eat during this visit, but they did have decently priced menu items and a little bit of something for everyone to choose from to eat.

Waitress friendly and made sure to frequently check our table to ensure we had everything we needed. Great music and enviroment, clean and spacious. Food was amazing and best part was they had a small menu for vegetarians and vegans such as myself. The veggie burger was delicious and some of the best fries in town! Prices were reasonable, will definitely be eating there again!

My first experience met my high expectation. The name of the grill alone sounded very yummy… it looked like a fun and bright atmosphere every time my husband and I drove by the grill.
The service was pleasant… the waitress was kind and helpful. Love the bar/grill atmosphere with a lounge in the back. Perfect place for date night or big groups of friend to meet. Prices were decent. The food was tasty.
The only down side is that the food was only slightly warm and not hot… my husband got the Nachos and I got the Big Kahuna Burger with caramelized onions and sweet and spicy pepper.
My husband and I are making this our new place to sit down place to do some work (we both are contractors).

Amazing food, atmosphere and customer service. If I could give them 10 stars I would. They were super friendly and approachable about my food allergies and they even made me a coconut milk wasabi sauce instead of just telling me you can’t have it. I have a really hard time eating out and they were just so nice and friendly it made it a pleasant experience. The drinks are great too!

Wow. Great food, fast and friendly service, good prices, what’s not to like about this place? Plenty of high chairs for those with small children. They have crayons that don’t roll and coloring pages for the kids. Great prices on “kids happy hour” food. I will be back with my family, and with friends and extended family when they visit! I can’t get over how delicious the food was! Plus the cool tropical landscaping in the parking lot was great.

The outfits are not skimpy or naughty like another post stated. The overstaffed new restaurant has a tough road ahead because of so many businesses going under previously in that location. The food was pretty good, the service was good and you e go to go there just to try the cross cut sweet potato fries.

First visit since it opened. Wasnt very impressed with the food. Pizza was sub par as was the appetizers. Service was prompt at first but had to go up to the bar for another drink after the meal came out. Outfits not very family friendly. Will go back in a few months and maybe things will be a bit better. Favorite hangout for years before it was coconuts island grill. Hope it works out! Would love to have a decent restaurant again!
