This place has the best value meal you will find in Carlisle. The Tom Yam soup is good but the Red Chilli Paste Stir Fry with chicken is WOW, for £6 is unbelievable! The service is slow and sometimes curt, quick tip, don’t order anything with beef. Stick to chicken or prawn. The Massamam curry is nice, the PadThai looks anemic and bland but the chicken satay are solid. To save time if there are more than 2 of you , order the same thing to save time. Good luck and enjoy!

What’s happened? We have been dining for over 10 years and today was awful. We waited over 40 minutes to be served. My soup looked like a diluted (see photo) curry, the noodles had veggies when we specifically asked for none and their excuse was that they were busy with telephone orders-any other tables were served before us! We won’t be returning and the staff were just damn right rude- such a shame 🙁 chef was off on one and th e waitresses just didn’t understand. Guess they’ve got greedy now!

Typical basic market cafe, a bit rough around the edges but the food is first class. Have become addicted to travelling here from Newcastle just for this food

Basically had a plate of chicken fried rice. Was only customer. Waited 33 minutes. Actually timed it based on other reviewers’ comments. Service without so much as a hint of a smile. Nothing wrong with the food. Fair price (£5), portion and authentic Thai. I generally go to PadThaiStreet for Thai food in Carlisle and only came here because I was caught out hungry and without my car. Won’t come again.

The price is good for the portion. The food is suitable for a quick lunch. The atmosphere could have been better but considering that it is a street food already good enough.

Absolutely love it here. The pad Thai and green curry is £15 for 2 meals and a side
Also the spring rolls are to die for

Great little place for a quick but proper meal. Really cheap for the portions and quality. Pretty basic Thai food but good quality and tasty. You couldn’t ask for much more from a small market restaurant. Cost £15 or x1 chicken pad Thai, X1 chicken sweet n sour, X1 portion spring rolls and a can of pop. Minimal seating and a bit wobbly! But good service, waited approx 20 minutes. Will visit again.

This is a basic cafeteria style eating place, but importantly the food is delicious.
The stuff and Services is friendly and efficient.
Take away meals are also available if required.
There is a large variety of different Thai meals, and all are very competitively priced.
It has grown in popularity over the years and has expanded its number of tables.
Whilst the facilities are basic being in the center of the market, it lacks the ambience of a more market restaurant, of course but it is clean and popular with people who want a quick, but nevertheless, tasty ,spicy Thai meal at an affordable price.
It is most busy over the lunchtime hours and is ready to close by about a5pm.
Non alcoholic drinks are also available.

Freshly cooked Thai food, quality ingredients, friendly service and super tasty. Been coming here for 8 years if not more and it’s too damn cheap!
For all those who have no patience, it’s not fast food and isn’t meant to be, if you want rubbish get to Gregg’s or McDonald’s, or have a bit of patience and wait. Small kitchen and 20 covers and 1 cook!

Been here twice, the meals I’ve had are absolutely delicious, especially the Tom yum prawn soup, nice and spicy, highly recommend this place. The women are friendly and from Thailand.
