First time here last week after the Carlsbad Marathon! Food was delicious, service was great! Awesome view up top! Elevator or stairs accessible above the Tiki bar/restaurant! Had the Hawaiian Cuban Sandwhich! Amazing! A must try! Will definately be back!!

Cococabana is a hidden gem in Oceanside! The rooftop vibe is unbeatable — perfect ocean views, chill music, and a fun, lively atmosphere. We came on a Saturday for date night and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The drinks were fantastic and made with care, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Great place to relax, enjoy the sunset, and kick off the weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

Cococabana in Oceanside is a rooftop tropical escape with ocean views, bold cocktails, and laid-back beach vibes.

The staff is warm, the drinks hit right, and the energy is pure island magic.

Perfect for brunch or a night out, this spot brings the heat. Grab your shades and soak in the tropical rooftop glow!

We went to celebrate a birthday. The Tiki bar on the first floor had no seats available so we went to the Cocacobana on the rooftop. There was a good view. There was no service. We sat a a table and had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. The bartender was not very pleasant. We ordered volcanic nachos which arrived without any plates or napkins. We had to go up to the bar to get them since no one returned to our table. At the end of the meal/drinks, no one again came over so we had to get the check at the bar. We also had to bring the “mirror ball” for our $60 drink to the bar as well to collect our ID. The music was extremely loud. The restroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and there were full garbage cans by the bar.

The Cococabana is located on top of The Brick Hotel in downtown Oceanside.
It is a great addition to the O’side Drink Scene and allows for its patrons to partake in some nice bites with decadent drinks, all while enjoying a sweeping view of Downtown O; typically with a breathtaking sunset.

I like coming here for their Taco Tuesdays.
They’ve got a nice menu selection that is filled with jerk chicken, jerk octopus and a cauliflower taco that are all memorable.
The tacos range from $3 to $6 and while they are “street taco” size, the flavor array is truly pronounced and stand out amongst any other “typical” taco.

They also have drink specials, with margaritas and other cocktails for $7.

Typically, throughout the week this is a nice place to go for that intimate date if you sit in the back.
, north corner. But normally, if there’s a crowd, it tends to get noisy up front where it faces the streets, South side.

Their other menu will be considered “pricey” to most locals and although their cocktails are great, they fall into that category as well; even though they aren’t as expensive as other rooftop locations.

So, overall, this is a great place to go celebrate an occasion or maybe go on a date, but maybe not as your “run of the mill” watering hole.

I still recommend experiencing them at least once when in Downtown Oceanside.

Beautiful decor and great vibes. The perfect spot for a girls brunch. For $28 you can get bottomless mimosas and the servers keep your glass full. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and I’d give it a 1 out of 5. It was so overpriced for a basic sandwich I could make at home. And it was piled with 5 pieces of Kraft singles (gross). The drinks were good but definitely overpriced, you’re paying for the environment. Make reservations. Service was good.

Hot rooftop, no shade, small portions, good drinks, high prices. Overall: don’t go.

We had reservations and got seated immediately when we arrived. We were sat into one of two booths that is direct sunlight, no shade, no umbrella. There are other seats with shade but everything else was reserved so they couldn’t move us around. We asked to move and they said no. We had a reservation so I’m not sure why we couldn’t relocate to another open table. By the end of our meal, several of us had sunburns. There is absolutely an expectation that outdoor seating is shaded. Absolutely ridiculous on the restaurants part. Go get some umbrellas and don’t seat anyone at these tables until you solve the issue.

The breakfast croissant sandwich was pretty tasty but doesn’t come with a side of anything. Pretty boring. For $16 you would expect some fries or hash browns or fruit or something.

The breakfast potato is laughable. It’s a big pile of mush in a potato skin with a soft egg on top. The lack of texture heterogeneity in this plate is disgusting. It’s not far off of a premium dog food. It’s $14 for this mistake on a plate.

The Bloody Mary’s are actually delicious. If I could give a reason to go back, this would be it. But it’s not enough reason to risk getting seated in the hot sun.

Overall I’d say it’s a 2 out of 5; they just opened so hopefully they see these reviews and work on improving. They could easily turn this place around.

This place is the perfect spot to catch a beautiful sunset while enjoying a few drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, making it a great choice to unwind after a long day. Their appetizers are tasty and pair perfectly with the drinks, adding to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a place with great views, good vibes, and delicious bites, this is definitely worth a visit!

Best Rooftop Bar in Oceanside! Not only does Cococabana have excellent food and drinks but it’s located at the top of the renovated Brick Hotel in downtown Oceanside. How often do you get a chance to watch the sunset over the Pacific ocean while sipping a fun and fruity drink served in a coconut, while noshing on cajun/creole inspired food, while sitting on the rooftop of a renovated historical building from 1888?
We arrived a little before sunset on opening weekend and the staff was so friendly. Our server Emily was very helpful and gave us the scoop on on all the small plates menu items. We had the Wagyu skewers which literally melted in your mouth and the charbroiled oysters were smoky and delicious. The real delighful surprise was the wild mushrooms cooked in jerk butter and served in a small cast iron pot swimming in avocado crema and topped with an egg yolk that put the dish over the top. Highly recommend it! The cocktails were yummy with fun names like Crocket & Tubbs, Swedish Bikini Team and Caribe Welcome. The place has such a beachy Oceanside vibe to it. We can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!
