I was immediately intruded by the signage, and I honestly thought it was more of a formal dining experience, maybe with a variety of seafood dishes, but when I stepped inside I soon found the vibe was way more chill
This is a chain located mostly in the North Texas area, but it is branching out. They not only specialize in shrimp… that’s pretty much all they prepare. Luckily, I love shrimp. The menu it’s the slightest bit overwhelming. There’s coco shrimp, garlic butter shrimp, spicy shrimp, lemon herb shrimp, and shrimp tacos. Other than the tacos you get your shrimp served on a buttery hearty portion of rice, and paired with a fresh salad. The salad has craisins in it, which are a delightful addition. There’s only a couple dressings to choose from but they’re both fresh and delicious (ginger vs. poppy seed)
There are a couple add ones like avocado, gilled pineapple, coconut flakes, and ground macadamia. You can also get the rice or salad à la carte. There’s a kids meal, a dessert option, and plenty of soft drinks to choose from. I don’t believe they serve alcoholic drinks
I like that they stuck to their core competencies of …. Shrimp. But I also wish they had something for those who don’t like shrimp, but more importantly for those who can’t have shrimp. My mom is allergic to shrimp. She would love to have it, but can’t. She could have stayed at home which wouldn’t have been fun, but she opted to have rice and salad and watch us eat shrimp (also not fun). She’s also allergic to avocado (one of the add-ons). I think having one chicken option would be really inclusive
The service was great! Everyone was friendly and efficient. We sat down and our meal was brought out to us
The restaurant gives a surfer vibe for sure. I love Hawaii and this vibe really resonated with me. There’s surfing and oceanic imagery on there, surfing posters, surf boards, live plants, exposed wooden beams, and just a fun vibe to this place. You can purchase colorful merch like a hat or shirt at the froth (I bought a shirt)
There’s plenty of parking. There’s seating upstairs, downstairs, and on a covered patio

Coco shrimp dos have a loyalty program where you can earn points for dining with them. It’s not easy to sign up online, but the individual at the register and add you with a name and phone number. You get points just for signing up
On Tuesday’s you can get $2 off shrimp tacos for taco Tuesday (order comes with 2 tacos)

Coco shrimp is actually an excellent value. The rice is delicious. The dips are very good the shrimp coating tasted good.

Visited Coco Shrimp and was genuinely impressed. The shrimp was cooked perfectly — tender, well-seasoned, and consistent in flavor. The bowl concept is simple but executed very well, which speaks to strong operations and quality control.

first time visit today and it won’t be the last lovely shrimp. very tasty. particularly enjoyed the tacos but all selections in my sampler were on point don’t know if there’s any real connection to Hawaii, but the atmosphere and attempted vibes are a welcome distraction from a busy day when you just need a good meal. simple quick service

I’ve been eagerly waiting for this place to open in Mansfield, and it didn’t disappoint. The concept is simple, but the execution is exceptional. Their food surpasses that of some expensive restaurants I’ve visited, and it’s fresh and delicious. I read through the reviews and noticed some complaints about the rice being garlic butter. That was actually a pleasant surprise. I had intended to either skip it or make it better myself, as I often do at other restaurants. However, when I got home, the rice was still piping hot and fresh and needed no additions. My family has enjoyed the Coco shrimp three times this week, and I’m already recommending it to all my real estate clients.

Another great location, very good service, great staff, and food is good. I love Coco Shrimp and visit the other locations often, so was excited to have one open close. I was able to get into the new location, and the service was very quick considering they were beyond busy. The line was long but moved quickly. Had a very small hickup with my order but Andrew was on top of it and went out of his way to make it right.

Our daughter said we had to try this place. Well we did try it today and were pleasantly surprised. The food was served up fresh and hot and was delicious. Love it and so happy it’s here in Mansfield now!! Everything about coco shrimp is amazing. I do wish they had a big more varieties for sides.
Everything is well kept and clean! The fans on the patio can be a little too powerful though.
The reason I give 4 stars is the parking is an issue. Twice upon visiting this location it’s been tricky to park or leave. It can be really hard to find parking in this shopping center.
The dumpster in the middle of the parking lot is not the best placement. It took us 10 min of waiting because someone parking behind us,and in front of the dumpster because parking is limited. Luckily we were able to pull through the spot in front of us after waiting for them for someone to leave.

I’d been counting down the days for this Mansfield location to finally open, and let me tell you—it was definitely worth the wait! Coco Shrimp is our to-go place to get our Hawaiian-style shrimp fix here in DFW, and I can’t tell you how ecstatic I am to have a location closer to me!
The food here is just as amazing as the Fort Worth location I usually order from. I went with the sweet & spicy shrimp with poppyseed dressing for the salad. Hubby got the sampler with butter garlic, lemon herb, and spicy shrimp. Absolute perfection!
On top of that, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick and efficient. This location also has two floors and a large patio! What’s not to love? My heart is so happy and my stomach is even happier! We LOVE you Coco Shrimp! ❤️
