The staff is nice & the food is cheap, but there are far better Asian & sushi restaurants in town…most of them, even. Even the other restaurants in town that Coco Palace’s owners control are better! I’m not sure what happened here, but it’s just NOT good food. If you like good sushi, you do NOT want to go here. If you like grocery store sushi, then you might be happy as a clam. Oh goodness, it’s just bad. This does LOOK like one of those hole-in-the-wall places that should be awesome, but it isn’t. Not even close. The food is not prepared well, the sushi is not good quality,…just pass. It’s horrible.

I really wish I could rate higher, I really enjoy the food and the selection of pretty decent sushi. The restaurant also has a very appealing design to me. I have had issue with wait times, and my table being ignored for the entire dining experience after receiving our food. The staff seem friendly but a good bit inattentive and it always seems as if the place is under construction and design changes.
However the last time I was there they were putting in what looked like grills in the table, to me that sounds like an exciting addition but I couldn’t explore it’s potential at the time.

My friend and I ordered delivery to our hotel. We ordered the Pad Thai and Mango Chicken. Both were completely disgusting and inedible. We threw away both meals. When we called the restaurant to get a refund, the employees and the manager were extremely rude and refused to give us a refund. They insisted that we order new food, which we did not want to do. They were literally yelling at me over the phone. Finally, after arguing for some time, he hung up on me. I promptly called my bank and put a stop payment on the charge. I would never recommend this restaurant.

My family went there on a Saturday 4:30pm, and ordered all you can eat Korean BBQ.
TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY.
Had to pay $26 per person for
– solid frozen meat
-strips of chicken that looked like dried mango
-unwashed old lettuce
-slimy Kimuchi that’s super sour
Most of the food seemed unfresh and scary to eat. The place was overall dirty too.
I’ve never written a review before, but had to this time due to the horrible condition of this restaurant.

I’m not even sure if this is a legitimate business or a front for something, there is only ever one person working there the times I’ve gone. The restaurant could be a good place if they’d staff it and have more advertising to get people in the door. The food was ok the times I’ve gone but for the money one could go somewhere better with Better food, oh and for being the only guests (party of two) in the restaurant you’d think we were served quick? Oh that’s a good one , with one guy running the place can’t expect fast service.

Loved loved loved the sushi here!!!! Stayed together great and tasted awesome. Came at 3 and still had good service with one person on. He was very nice and interacted with us well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Korean bbq is a big fail. Quality of ingredients scared me. So far, 12 hours later luckily no waterfalls. Service terrible, we had to beg for rice, beg for drinks, get up and fetch our own to go boxes for the average quality sushi.

I’m a sushi snob from big Dallas. They make quality rolls that you would expect at a high dollar place in a big city. I love the rainbow and the eastern Pacific rolls!

after a 15 minute wait to get seated it took another hour to get food, to go. There was only 1 table in the restaurant when I arrived. While I was waiting for my food, another table came in and ordered sushi, got served and was waiting to leave. Also another to go order came in and got their order, while I still waited on mine. I ordered basil vegetable, green curry with tofu, hot and sour soup, vegetable udon, spring rolls and a thing of green tea ice cream. I asked if it normally took that long for orders and the server, the only server, said that yes it does. I knew the server I had was also preparing the sushi orders. I paid and headed back to the hotel. Upon arriving I opened my order, expecting a great experience, considering the wait. I ended up with a masama curry(yellow with potatoes), some vegi dish with no basil, the ice cream was bland and I could only taste the whip cream and chocolate sauce they had put on it, the udon had no flavor but was extremely greasy. I loaded it back up and went back to get my money back. The server didn’t seem surprised to see me and graciously refunded my order. Unfortunately this cut 2 hours of my night and didn’t feel up to finding something else to eat. Guess we will find elsewhere to try and get curry and good Asian cuisine.

one of the strangest experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. we were the only patrons in the restaurant and it felt as though we might be in a slasher horror film… the food was pretty good for sushi and korean bbq in rapid (racist city) – yes, the most racist city in usa. would probably go back (with more than just 2 of us)
