We had such an amazing experience! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, the birria tacos were perfectly seasoned and tender, and the loaded fries were out of this world. Every bite was seriously so tasty.

Our waiter, Jesus, was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. The vibe was relaxed and chill, which made it such a great place to hang out and enjoy a great meal.

Highly recommend!

My husband and I made a reservation for 7:45 on a Thursday (3/5/26) evening and we were promptly seated on the patio after a minute or two. We waited almost 15 min while reviewing the menu without a server checking in or getting any water.

I made eye contact with a blond woman who was serving everyone else on the patio. She was inside and looked right at me and then turned around and continued drying plates.

At this point I’m extremely thirsty and considering getting my water bottle from the car as the party that was seated after us had already gotten water and were placing drink orders. My husband then gets up and asks the hosts to send a waiter.

One of them came and took our order. Then a male waiter came (Daniel). He was kind and great at explaining the menu. We did have to ask for him one more time before finally receiving water at 8:08pm. I immediately drank half the glass.

We each got the coconut risotto fish / mushroom dish and the shared the ahi tuna donut. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A bit heavy so not something I could eat often. Was not interested in drinks or ordering anything else here.

We initially, upon being seated, saw they had happy hour 2-4 and planned to return the next day for the fish tacos and Lilikoi sorbet but after the service we decided to visit the water front tavern across the street instead and enjoyed their HH instead.

Coco Deck was a fine stop- nothing particularly unforgettable, but a chill, laid-back bar vibe that made for an easy, relaxed meal. We sat on the patio, which was really nice and right across the street from the water, even though it was dark.

Service was great the entire time, which is the main reason we’re rounding this up to 4 stars. Everyone was friendly, fast, and attentive.

Food-wise, everything was good- not amazing, not terrible- just solid. We enjoyed the fish tacos and the fish & chips. The “My Girlfriend Isn’t Hungry” add-on was cute and catchy, and the queso tacos were actually pretty good. But the chicken strip in the combo? Sad. Just a basic frozen-and-fried strip that felt like zero effort went into it.

I liked the mixed fries concept, but it honestly felt like we got the leftovers- all the tiny, broken pieces at the bottom of the batch. Drinks, however, were good, and pricing felt fair for the area.

This restaurant is owned by the same owned of Mala Ocean Tavern across the street, which we almost went to instead.

Overall, Coco Deck is a perfectly fine place to grab a casual bite with good service and a great patio. Not the kind of spot you rave about later, but solid enough that we didn’t regret stopping by. Generous 4/5 stars.

We absolutely loved this place. We walked in with no plan at all and instantly fell in love. Kiara was an amazing server and made the whole experience so special. The loaded french fries and the watermelon salad were unreal, hands down our favorites. Enjoying all of this while sitting outside with a stunning ocean view made it even more magical. Everything about this spot was a win. We can’t wait to come back!

I don’t take the time to leave reviews much often anymore, but upon dining at Coco Deck Kitchen I knew it was the least I could do to show appreciation for the atmosphere and delicious food I enjoyed! During my vacation to Hawaii, no restaurant menu had me battling decisions on which items I would order like I did here. The menu is fantastic with fresh and local options! Moana was our server and she was amazing; Not only making us feel welcomed but her bright aura and fun personality made the dining experience all the better. From the chic restaurant decor to the friendly staff and food that makes your tastebuds dance, I would without a doubt recommend this restaurant and will likely squeeze in another visit before my vacation is over!

Love this restaurant and it’s staff! Chef Alvin has instilled love and compassion into his crew as well as fine training of professional culinary service. Make sure you order the Ahi Donut topped with fresh poke. The fried fish was delicious and a good portion size. The bartender was an excellent service individual and genuinely friendly to hold a conversation with. After leaving it was almost sun setting time so I enjoyed the sunset right across the street and then simultaneously there was a full rainbow up in the sky over and behind Coco Deck! Continued good luck Alvin.

Watched the Seahawks game here and had the best time. Great atmosphere, lively but relaxed, perfect spot to enjoy a game. The food was amazing fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we had in Maui. Drinks were great, service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe felt very local and welcoming. Perfect place for good food, sports, and a fun Lahaina night. Would absolutely come back!

The Margarita (watermelon reposado and tajin)was great but small. The chicken sando was overly battered and fat not trimmed and they say ceviche had avo but hard to find it in there. I liked it my husband did not. We were excited to order the crusted mahi and it was so fishy we sent it back. The waitress Moana was a doll! She rocked and the manager and hostess were great too. Great location.

We came in as a family of 3 on Sunday night around 8pm and it was still fairly busy which was amazing to see. We ordered ceviche, birria tacos, and the burger. All the food was SO good. And their homemade hot sauces were amazing. I am a BIG hot sauce person so I took one to bring home.

Michelle was our server and you could tell she was a veteran server that loved her job. She was very informative, gave great suggestions and just enough conversation to make you feel like a friend. All the staff that touched our table were friendly.

Hopefully we can come back before we leave, but if not, support these local guys!

The place is super cute and has a very beach vibe to it. The menu is also clear to read and there are many drink options, both alcoholic and non. The owner/manager is also very friendly and checks in on guests. However, our server, though nice, wasn’t very attentive. She also failed to mention that there was no ranch, only some other version of it. After ordering I felt I had to say what I wanted 3 times for her to get the order correct. It’s just not what you expect from a well-reputed and pricy restaurant. The nachos also weren’t automatically the happy hour ones, despite it being happy hour – those need to be ordered separate and are apparently a smaller portion so it doesn’t seem to be much of a special!

The actual food was okay. I got a smash burger and it didn’t taste like much of anything. To me, the burger just tasted like greasy pickles and bread. The funky fries are fun, but very greasy. My sister had the birria ramen, it tasted just like oil and noodles to me personally. She had to add a ton of salt and even then it just didn’t hit the mark. We also had the spicy chicken but it wasn’t spicy at all. The fish was enjoyed, however and was pretty good.

Considering the price and high reviews, this place was honestly not good. The food was quite bland and the prices are extremely high for the type of food. I would skip this place and try somewhere else.
