To add since I cannot reply to the owners response. The counter employee even asked the kitchen how to get my food how I wanted (simply chicken, cheese, bacon, and hot sauce/buffalo) and the kitchen staff said it could not happen. Your counter staff (said she was newer) very much tried to help out and the kitchen staff was very rude to her when she asked them how to make it work. I literally took my “left over” home just so she didnt feel any worse than she already did when noticing we weren’t excited about the food or experience. I would have settled for seasoned food at the bare minimum.
Fried Chicken sandwiches is the main thing. They also have smash burgers. All kinds of combinations are possible with those basic proteins where they put toppings, sauces, and whatnots with the patties on a bun. Sides have to be ordered separately. We wanted to sample several so we ended up with the sampler plate which featured Boneless Wings; Macaroni and Cheese Wedges; and Mozzarella sticks. Those come with a choice of wing sauce and a marinara to dip in.
Food was delivered pretty quickly and it came straight out of the fryer – we needed to be careful to not burn our tongues and mouths! Given what it was, we thought the food was tasty – but very messy, so we were glad to see the rolls of paper towels at each table! We needed to use them.
As a spice lover, I ordered the Dirty Bird, and found it to be mild as the spiciest ingredients on it were the Louisiana hot sauce and pepper rings, but those are tamed by the cole slaw. The wing sauce which promised to have Red Hot in it, was also tamed down by blue cheese. Oh well. Not exactly spicy, but still tasty.
My dad got a triple decker smash burger and i got the spicy honey chicken sandwich. So damn good yall!
For our first experience i feel like this spot goes the extra mile for its “order out” customers where other places dont. They even put little square of foil on top of our fries to keep the heat in!
Big fan of Cocky’s Coop right now!
$37 bucks for two sammies and fries but thats through door dash
They were not whole wings so basically it was three chicken wings for the money. When I opened the package at home, the wings looked like they were deep fried twice. They were burnt out, dry and almost inedible. Felt like I was eating chicken wing jerky! Unfortunately, I do not like to give bad reviews however they need to step up their game big time or they’ll be out of business soon.
My daughter got the cheese sticks and she was impressed with the “cheese pull”. She said that an influencer should do a video with them.
I tried the Hot honey chicken sandwich. It was just the right amount of spicy and sweet and the chicken was moist and delicious.
We definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.
