This is one of my most favorite restaurants. I usually get take out. I love everything I’ve tried. I usually get either pulled pork or brisket. I like their catfish, too. Meals are served with hush puppies and 2 sides. The sides are all so good! I like the cheesy potato casserole and the collard greens, but there are other delicious ones to choose from. I always buy 1 or 2 containers of their stuffed pepper soup to put in my freezer. It’s so good! And their own creamery icecream is so delicious. If you haven’t eaten here yet, your missing out on the best bbq in the area!

I enjoyed my experience at Cockeye Creamery very much. The staff was kind and professional. The S’mores milkshake I ordered tasted good. Even in the aftermath of rainy weather, the vibe was pleasant with multiple customers. I would recommend it.

A small but lovey little BBQ place. The clothes line deals are amazing and older recipes on the rotation out.

Cockeye has ice cream dialed in – from the top to the bottom of the menu. Imaginative flavors done very very well. We had the Sweet Corn Sorghum ( yes I was hesitant, but the taste is awesome) and the super good Pecan Praline. If we had the time I would have been so happy to stay and sample the rest of the menu. Good parking and a large, comfortable, partly covered patio make this delicious place easy to stop and stay for a while.

You don’t need me to tell you how amazing this ice cream is- there are so many other reviews to do that. What I will tell you is that this is a business with an excellent culture. The workers are friendly and happy. One of them cheerfully plugged in my phone for me while my kids and I ate ice cream (I was traveling through, had a situation with my car charger and honestly would have been in trouble without the help). I noticed that the business is highly involved with local charity work.
So, in addition to the pleasant outdoor seating, generous parking and fantastic ice cream, they are just good community members. Grateful for the help today!

Outstanding local ice cream shop! Cannot recommend enough! The woman at the counter was great. She offered flavor recommendations and was very accommodating to my groups special request for smaller scoops (we all wanted to try multiple flavors). We ordered multiple pints, I noticed many other customers did too, which they freshly pack and can hold in the freezer while you finish your ice cream. As far as flavors, my large group tried the Andromeda, Black Squirrel, Blueberry Scone, Buttermilk Pie, Cookie Monster, Jackson 5, Lavender Honey, Peanut Butter Pie, and Wired! Everything was great! Their signature Buttermilk Pie, Black Squirrel, and Cookie Monster really stood out as favorites. All flavors are distinct, any with mix-ins had an appropriate amount. Price is fair. As with most ice shops in the area portions are large (one scoop is closer to two).

Excellent ice cream. Had the peanut butter pie bowl. Highly recommended. The price was inexpensive, and the person behind the counter was patient with my questions.

Quality I think has gone downhill. Peach ice cream where you had to hunt for pieces of peaches. I’m sure they use the cheaper method of using a food processor. Kong ice cream only had 2 little peanut butter cups in a whole pint. No way they can compete with Handel’s who loaded their ice cream with big chunks of fruit, nuts, etc. Handel’s is about a buck a pint cheaper, too. No reason Cockeye can’t do the same
