We ate with a group of 16 today. Every single bite was SO good! I was super impressed with our server, Alex. We’ve been in the past and always enjoy it. Alex threw that cornbread so high and got the landings good! He kept drinks full and was very friendly and attentive to us.
The only negative I have is that the outside could use a little sprucing up and a little maintenance on the inside, but we’ll definitely be back!

We stop in everytime were in Nashville. The ice cold tin cups & pickled onions are the best! Food was great too. Hubby had catfish & I had the Ribeye & brocolli Ribeye was better than most steakhouses. Ill add tge ranch dressing on my salad was good too.

We had a big party come and Alex took great care of us. It was a great meal, we got the sampler. Alex kept our drinks full and remembered all of our orders and flip our corn bread, the highest flip we’ve seen. The hostess was very welcoming and our food was great. I like how they serve the fixings (sides) in pots. It makes for an intimate meal. We had a good time. Cock of the Walk is one of the few restaurants that’s been around. Alot if history there. Go see them!

We stopped here one evening we was traveling through town and was very hungry so we stopped to try this place out did not know much about it from the outside. It looked odd and old inside kind of felt the same way but the food was amazing The sweet tea was very sweet and cold and they give you these aluminum cups to drink it out of. That was awesome and I ordered the catfish And coleslaw, white beans and green beans and let me tell you that was some of the best coleslaw I have ever ate will highly recommend it check this place out if you are in Nashville

The food was good. The menu is VERY limited, so be sure to make sure they have something for you before you go. They serve pickled onions and coleslaw with the meals. Both were a bit defferent, but super yummy. I had the chicken and fish, both were good, and filling. There were fries underneath the meat, they were alright. My husband got shrimp and fish. He lovrd his too. The drinks are served in metal cups and made them super cold. I loved that. The waiter was super friendly, but wasn’t able to keep up with his few tables. It was also pretty cold in there. I imagine it is hard to heat the big place, especially when the cold snap is colder than normal. It was a bit pricey. I would likely come back.

Came here today with family & we were very disappointed. Nashville natives, we have all been eating here for years. Our hearts broke. The restaurant has gone down hill & it was sectioned off to one open room on a Sunday afternoon. It looked like a ghost town. Our waiter was under the influence of something & it was a nightmare. He was dropping plates, didn’t even take our orders or ask about drinks until we had been sitting there for 30 mins. Got food & drinks an hour later. The large party next to us literally left without paying because they couldn’t get the check!! It was probably the worst second hand embarrassment I’ve ever felt. Your money is better spent at Santa Fe down the street.

Excellent service, very tasty food and a unique atmosphere makes for a fun and enjoyable restaurant experience. Fried catfish, chicken and shrimp were all incredible as were the pot of greens and the skillet cornbread. My only complaints would be the prices are a bit high and you really need pure butter for that hot cornbread. Also, I loved the plates, cups and pots that you eat from, very unique.

The reviews seemed to be all over the place about this restaurant. I had a cousin that ate here several years ago and enjoyed it and recommended that we stop by. We are so glad we stopped and ate lunch at this restaurant. It is a little pricey but the food is wonderful and the serving size is plentiful.

We shared the full catfish plate that came with 4 filets, ample fries, bucket of coleslaw, couple of hush puppies and water. We also ordered the pot of mustard greens for 2-3 people.. The skillet cornbread was wonderful. Joseph was a wonderful waiter and he flipped that cornbread 8-10 times and landed it perfectly back in the skillet.

We had a great experience!

This was our second visit and it was made ultra special by our server Ms. K (Kenosha?). She made our day, treated us like family and showed us an amazing time. The chicken and cat fish were great as we expected but the beans and greens almost stole the show from the cole slaw. The perfectly flipped corn bread was on point as well!! As locals we’ll be back soon.
