Wonderful restaurant serving lots of seafood-based dishes. The menus are a bit pricey overall but comes in a proper style with generous portions. Their pisco sour is absolutely delicious, done in the right way.

Coming from a cooking background, I am my worst critic. But to date, I have yet to find a mussel dish that rivaled mine… until today. Cooked to the second of perfection, the broth was so delicious, we asked for a second spoon. We also ordered the fish, but the star of the show was the mussels.

I went during a quiet part of the day at around 1 pm and there wasn’t really anyone else in there. The service was nice. I got the fish and chips which was a fried hake.
The serving was (big) good.
In terms of improvements, they could offer some source like some tartare or table water for free. I had their service was slow but overall it was fine. I think going at the right time matters a lot.

Had a lovely dinner here. There weren’t many options for a late dinner on a Monday – but I am so glad we found this place!
Very chill vibes and very nice service. All of our food was excellent and they had a great selection of wines. Highly recommend this place in Valparaiso!

Excellent and filling meal! One dish portion size would have been enough for lunch. The ceviche was super fresh and perfectly seasoned. The langostinos pil pil was next level, garlicky deliciousness! Staff was welcoming and made sure I was taken care of. The dining area was cozy and not too loud even though it was busy. Highly recommend!

We had been looking for a real good seafood place for three days. Since we live and Florida and had spent time in Lima, we are pesqueterian. Twice we had been seduced by city views places but with only ok food. Well, after a day in the port area we took the “elevator” off Plaza Justicia and after researching we found this treasure. Arrived near six hungry and tired. I ordered the seafood caldo after a great Campari spritz. A heaping of giant mussels and clams with small shrimps floating around. The waiter took the time explaining the subtle differences between a “caldo” vs a “sopa” as well as the two local breads accompanying to dip into some unique spreads. My wife ordered a perfectly seared tuna “a la inglesa” though I had to under duress donate some of treasure. We shared the feast with a bottle of chardonay, not from Casablanca since we will be there soon, nice. Dessert was a unique local mouse but in a hardshell dark chocolate tube, over a bed of indigenous spices mixed with finely chopped strawberries. We purposely stayed away from the other four recognizable choices like brownies, etc. The place has French old doors as tabletops, spaced amply. We whole heartily recommend Cocina Puerto.

Fantastic food and great service. I took a Chilean traditional broth for one and it was enough for at least 2 persons. Mix of chicken, smoked ham, sausage, white fish, clams and more in a very tasty sauce. Bread on the house with dip was delicious. Very good and not at all pricey (as some reviews said). Highly recommended

Stumbled upon Cocina Puerto for dinner on a Wednesday night, and had one of the best dinners in Valparaiso. Rodrigo was an amazing server, and made us feel right at home. The seafood is second to none, and the empanadas were spectacular. If you are looking for a good priced, authentic meal in Chile, make sure you stop in here.

We were four French friends visiting and not very fluent in Spanish, but the waiter kindly explained the menu to us in English. We tried the hake and the ceviche — both were excellent! The wine he recommended paired perfectly with our meal. Great food, great service, and a really friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious ceviche and tuna tartare in portions so huge we could not finish. If we lived in Valpo, we would be regulars.
