Great experience from start to finish! The service was excellent. They offered us sample sauces and meats before ordering and helped us choose dishes to share between three people. We had the mole enchiladas, enchiladas divorciadas, and birria tacos. I’d definitely order all three again. Ice cream and churros for dessert. Great meal and great service. I’ll definitely be back!

This spot was #1 on my list of must try food in SanFran after seeing it hyped up on Instagram. Upon entering the guy working the counter offered me a complimentary sampling plate. Getting to try the meats & sauces before ordering, amazing hospitality. I ordered the verde birria enchildas + chips & salsa. Being Latina & originally from Texas, I’m a tough critic when it comes to Mexican food. This was honestly the best Mexican food I’ve ever had.. birria was tender, chips warm and house made, everything was so cheesy, salsas and verde were fresh and flavorful, I regret not asking to take containers of them to go. I’ll be dreaming of this plate until I can make another visit to SanFran.. (I would fly back for this meal alone)

My family and I had the yummiest food here! 3/5 of us are vegetarian, we were super happy with the veggie tacos and green enchiladas. My white elderly grandparents also gave a major thumbs up to the cheese & chicken quesadillas.
The staff were super welcoming and really lovely— there is a nice family vibe to the place. It is easy to understand all the 5 star reviews. A gem in the Mission district. Thank you for having us!

My wife and I came up to San Francisco from LA for Valentine’s weekend. She found this spot on Instagram and said we HAD to try it, and honestly, it did not disappoint. Food was 10/10. Service was 100/100. Soon as we walked in, the owner/server was offering samples to new customers, real welcoming vibes. I grabbed the carne asada wet burrito, my wife went with the quesa birria taco… both were . No exaggeration and we’re from LA, this might be some of the best Mexican food we’ve had. Defiantly worth the train ride from Union Square to their location. Even the little 5-year-old girl sitting next to us yelled out “this food is good!” and she wasn’t lying. I’m not even the type to leave reviews, I don’t think I’ve ever written one for a restaurant before, but I had to speak up after seeing how a worker handled a difficult customer who ended up leaving a false review. There wasn’t some crazy long line, people were chilling, and the energy inside was good. Look, I get being frustrated, but putting false claims on a small business that’s really out here serving quality food ain’t right. If you’re in the Bay Area, pull up. Like my wife says… this place is “Foodie Approved.”

Let me start with the service. They are extremely kind and even offer you samples of the meat and sauces before you order. The wet burrito is enough for two people and on top of it being huge its delicious. Waitresses are so kind and offer stuff you dont even order.

This place is seriously underrated. Not only is the food authentic and fresh, but the staff is very kind and attentive. Arriving we were offered samples of some of their menu options and this ultimately helped us make a decision on our order. We ordered the chicken mole and the chile relleno, both excellent and flavorful dishes. I can’t wait to be back and try more of their menu items!

This place has the best Mexican food we’ve had. We were visiting San Francisco from DC and wanted some authentic Mexican food. Once we saw all of the rave reviews for this place, we decided we had to go and our experience 100% lived up to the reviews.
When we arrived and were taking a little while to absorb the menu, the very kind man at the counter offered to let us try all of their sauces so that he could make a recommendation for us. All of the sauces were delicious, but we each gave our favorites and he recommended that we each do a mix and match enchiladas plate. They were phenomenal.
I want to emphasize that these are genuinely kind and warm people. On top of offering to have us try their sauces without asking, when we sat down they brought us a basket of chips and three salsas on the house. We felt taken care of in a way that stands out compared to other restaurants.
If we lived in San Francisco, we would be regulars here. Definitely coming back any time we visit in the future! 10/10 would recommend, no notes.

I now understand why this place got 5 stars review. When we arrive and hesitate what to order. The staff there just give us a small sample plate for us to try so that we can decide O_O. Everything was delicious so it didn’t really help lol. We ended up ordering the mole enchiladas and quesabirrias. Both of them are amazing. I usually don’t like enchiladas since it tends to be soggy and diluted flavor-wise. However, here they made it so that the enchiladas still maintain a good texture and the mole sauce enrich the deep flavor. And quesabirria!!! The beef meat is tender and it is so juicy when dipped in the birria sauce. The crispy taco shell and cheese is amazing. In fact, all the components in both dishes are rich in flavor and complementary to each other. This is definitely one of my most favorite Mexican food places.

The Tamales here are Fire!!!! So delicious and fresh! Jose and his team along with his mom, made us 4 dozen tamales for Christmas and they were soooo GOOD! Did i mention they made me custom Molé tamales! Their Mole was amazing! Got some beans and rice that were also really on point! Food really tastes like it came out of a home kitchen in Mexico. Also, their customer service and friendliness was so heartfelt and made me feel right at home. Would highly recommend this restaurant anytime! Should be up there with the best Mexican restaurants in town! Thank you so much José! See you real soon!
