Got the pancit and short ribs. The short ribs tasted good. I liked the little side of veggies and rice that goes with it. The ribs were a little fatty on the side. They packed my container to the brim with pancit and it didn’t particularly wow me but it’s not bad either. I can see how if someone grew up with it, it would be nostalgic for them.

This place is fantastic when craving for Authentic Filipino food. The prices are good and really affordable. I’ve been a long time customer of this place. Just like the others who keep going back to Cocina Elena it’s because the food is great! The service staff are friendly even if they are very busy they still do their best to respond whenever it is possible. The staff may not be able to answer your phone calls from 11am to 1pm simply because they’re busy attending to the customers and that tells us that the FOOD is Great.
To the people who rated Cocina E. low star rate I can assure you that YOU are the PROBLEM especially when you rate the place low and yet you still keep going back. Please know that we Filipinos are really sweet and patient but we do not respond well to disrespectful behaviour from anyone especially from our fellow Kabayans.
The next time you need to order something to-go please call or text ahead and let them know what time you’ll pick up the order .

We’ve dined here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed the food. I’m not a Filipino food expert, but my wife has more experience and she really likes it here. We ordered Pancit Bihon (noodles), Chicken Curry, Grilled Chicken, Kare Kare (oxtail).
Located inside Asia Times Square original food court by Hong Kong Market. CASH only.

This was our second attempt coming here, the first they were closed for about a month.
The cashier/server was very friendly. I wanted some chicken adobo but they ran out. So we got some lechon, pork bbq skewer, and chicken in a red tomato base sauce. The lechon was good but the crispiness was more hard than a crunch, the bbq skewer was served cold, and the chicken in red sauce was quite oily and didn’t have much meat on the chicken and not much veggies. We also had lumpia which were mini but there was plenty, it had a good crunch but the filling was okay.
Not the best Filipino place but not the worst.

Friendly cashier. Did the turo turo 2 item with rice. Got the sisig (left) and mechado (right). If you eat the food along without mixing it into the rice, flavor will be overpowering. Mix it into the rice. I liked the mechado more than the sisig. Good meat and sauce. Sisig here was a bit more unique, had a slimier texture i think because of the mayo. Also, I came later in the day so it wasn’t crispy.
