Gave this Mexican restaurant a try with a super burrito that came with chicken and beef, topped with cheese sauce and a side of medium salsa. Taco bell is still more authentic. Ordered Tampiquena and I don’t think a 3oz size of steak worth 18.75$ rice is super wet beans taste so bad. Even their diet coke tastes weird. This makes me don’t want to try new places and just stick to El Tucanazo.

Wonderful hidden gem!
I ordered menudo and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and very authentic. You can really tell it’s made with care.
The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and genuine. It’s sad that more people don’t know about this place, because it truly deserves more attention.
I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves real Mexican/Spanish-style food. Please support this local business!

Had me wait 45 minutes for 4 tacos. Not to mention on a day where the special was $1.50 a taco and after I waited 45 minutes they have the audacity to charge me full price since I wasn’t “dine in” which wasn’t mentioned to me when I ordered. Also would like to clarify I did dine in I just so happened to order these for my girlfriend as a takeout since she was at work. Considering the amount of time I waited for my food and not mentioning it to me when I ordered that the special was dine in only, I was extremely dissatisfied and outright angry about the situation.

We stopped by on a Friday and ordered the baked cod for dinner. We were provided chips and salsa. Excellent!! The cod was devine! Loved the sauce. The fries, potato pancakes, slaw and rye toast were equally as good. The staff and owner were very nice. The whole experience was 10/10.

This place has a fantastic lunch. The taco dinner was spot on and came with some nicely charred jalapenos and a few cross sections of potato. The beans were also well seasoned. The place has a nice old-school diner counter, and my server was so kind, even offering me a sample of the soup the kitchen had been preparing. I will for sure be coming back!

The chips were crisp, and the toppings were nicely balanced; I ordered the carne Zamora, which was tender. Trust me, you won’t need a knife to cut this steak.
