I think this would have/could have been a 4 star experience with one simple but big change; whatever method is being used to cook with because it did not seem like the charcoal was being used indirectly. The brisket was still okay because it absorbed the flavor of the charcoal and the (quite delicious) dipping sauce helped with that as well. The brisket was cooked tender and juicy but didn’t have a good “bark” or an inherent flavor to write home about but it was still appetizing when dipped in the sauce (but ask for extra). I’d bet the result would have been the same with the pulled pork in regard to masking the charcoal flavor had I ordered that with the brisket. Unfortunately, I ordered the chicken with it and the flavor of charcoal was sincerely overwhelming. All you could taste was charcoal to the point that it seemed to taste like lighter fluid. Smoking/slow cooking with charcoal if not done with the proper indirect method can potentially be carcinogenic and although I honestly feel conflicted leaving a “negative” review (especially for an independent small business owner in a State like Massachusetts), the chicken tasted downright unhealthy and my friends and co-workers who I had try it agreed. Otherwise, the meats were very tender and juicy, the fries and cornbread (order extra) were delicious and the outdoor atmosphere was peaceful. This could have been a much better review and experience if Cobb’s made some kind of adjustment to how they’re smoking their meats, so that it is relying more on wood/woodchips like hickory or mesquite for flavor and the charcoal used in a more indirect manner. That said, I wouldn’t give up on it because with this small but important adjustment, this BBQ stand would be a very welcome addition to our community which is desperately lacking in good Southern style cooking. VERDICT (1-5 scale with “1” being terrible, “3” being good, “5” being once in a lifetime, best you’ll ever have delicious) – Brisket; 3.5/5 • Chicken; 1/5 • Fries; 4/5 • Cornbread; 4.5/5 • Dipping sauce; 4/5. Despite my experience, I’d still recommend you try it and be your own judge (especially considering there are many more items on the menu I haven’t tried!) and support local entrepreneurs – but I do sincerely hope a change is made to ensure no one is served meat so heavily infused with charcoal as today.

I’ve been twice. I got the rib plate both times with mac and cheese and collard greens. The meat was delicious both times, but the sides are kind of hit or miss. First time the Mac and cheese was kind of “meh” the second, it was good. First time collards were good, the second time they were VERY salty. I haven’t tried any of the other meats or sides yet, but I would go back.

My husband & I stopped by after some afternoon shopping for a late lunch and boy am I glad we did! The food was out of this world! Worth every single penny though, meat packed with flavor! I got a steak n cheese SAMMICH and it was absolutely amazing. Service was amazing too, the owner went out of his way to see what we thought and his hospitality was outstanding. 5 ⭐️ cant wait to go back!

We tried Cobbs for the first time last evening and, boy, was it GOOD! I got a 1/2 rack of ribs for my husband that came with a tangy-sweet sauce. Mac & cheese with a delicious chewy-crunchy crust and seasoned fries for me. They were out of cheesecake so we both enjoyed the banana pudding (which was chock full of fresh bananas and slightly resembled a bread pudding). The chef is a friendly man and a great BBQ master! We’re looking forward to trying many more delectible looking entrees in the coming weeks. I highly recommend! 10/10

We tried the pulled pork and the brisket today, DELICIOUS! All 4 of us loved all of it! The baked beans were so good that even my 4 year old said he loved them! He has never tried baked beans!
And the fries were also perfect! 10 year old son is a bbq sauce snob and he always wants his sauce on the side so he can make sure he likes it. The kind man (I’m guessing the owner) gave him a sample cup and my son gave his approval immediately. The sauce is a great balance of everything you need in a BBQ sauce-not too smoky not too much vinegar just enough and also, great sweet flavor!
We really loved our food. I manage 3 food trucks and I LOVED this packaging and presentation! The meats are wrapped in parchment paper and I feel like this is such a great touch!
Keep up the amazing, diligent smoking!!! Your effort was appreciated today! We will be back!

I got sick of driving by this place and not giving it a try. I went today and got a combo plate of brisket and a half chicken with cornbread, collard greens and a bottle of water. The food was absolutely incredible. And Sunny the pit master/chef is really friendly and obviously extremely talented. I will definitely be back. I hope this place thrives for a very long time.
