Waitress with red hair and glasses barely acknowledged us or our “hello” and placed menus on the table without a word. Waiter then comes and gives us our drinks with this trash in the glass. Felt like they were upset we were there for some reason, no hospitality at all. Wanted to give this place a try and was extremely disappointed.

Has lunch on a Tuesday, it was not crowded. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor sitting spaces. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Ordered a Greek Salad with grilled shrimp, the order did not take long. Greek Salad was good and it had plenty of shrimp. The outdoor space is nice as it is right next to a reseca.

Open since the 90s, Cobbleheads is a Brownsville staple. No other restaurant has the vibe that this place has. Live music ok the weekends and a house band on Sunday afternoons. Incredible food. The Philly and the Nachos are amazing!
My mother and sister rented the party room for my wife’s baby shower and we had an incredible time. The server, Tracy, took care of us. Nora was great at the bar! Good prices during happy hour.
They have an outdoor patio where they place live music and it has an awesome overlook towards the resaca. During nice days, it’s a real treat to have a meal or some drinks outside.
I highly recommend trying this place at least once. Service can take some time so get ready to wait if there are a lot of people. Peak hours can be hectic
Parking may suck so try parking next door at the motel 6. 5 stars mang!

The restaurant is great. The atmosphere is loud and party like. The service when we went was good, she came back every so often but probably not as much as we needed. We went around lunch time so there wasn’t no wait for a table.!The food took a while but was SO worth it. It was so delicious!

We had 19 people with a reservation from 5 days ago. You’d think they would have been ready for us. We had to get our own menus. They substituted items they were out of without asking. Claimed they were out of lettuce, when one had a side salad, they gave her tortilla soup, however others had Cobb salads???? Then we were fed in 4 Shifts over 2-1/2 HOURS!!! Plus the birthday girl FINALLY got her meal as we were getting ready to leave AND they wanted her to pay for it. Talked to one of the owners who claimed they just took over the restaurant at midnight but that was a lie because a friend went two weeks before and they told him the same thing. All they have to do is communicate: sorry we’re short staffed, short in the kitchen, or may take a while. Sorry we’re out of that, can I interest you in something else? I’ll never go back, used to be my favorite place

We got there and we’re seated and we ordered an appetizer and it took 50 minutes. Our waiter didn’t know what liquor they had on the menu. After we ordered our appetizer the waiter never came back. A lady came out and said she was getting our appetizer to us as she was filling in as our waiter had left. She said she had to leave as well. Never again what poor service. Appetizer was cold and just so so.

Horrible horrible service. Never had this happen before. There were 4 of us and we had a beer but that was it. All the staff was trying to do something with the tv instead of taking our food order. We sat there for 20 minutes after our drinks were served while they all played with the tv. We left and went to Bubbas where the service and food is awesome. Don’t plan on going to Cobbleheads for a while if we ever do. Oh there were only 8 customers in there counting us. No excuses!!

I wanted to love the food here but unfortunately it was ok at best. I ordered the Rick Wrap and as yummy as it looked it lacked in flavor and the steak was not fully cooked (I like mine well done, I know that some peeps appreciate some pink so you can decide if that’s good or bad!). I thought it was my plate that maybe wasn’t up to par, but sadly, I got the same feedback from my peeps. The redeeming qualities for the place were the atmosphere and the generous serving portions! We sat on the outdoor patio, enjoying the little river that runs alongside it. The fried pickles were also very good; they were fat and juicy but crispy at the same time. This place strikes me as a place to have your typical fried bar food and a drink on the patio with your peeps. The menu is very diverse, I just wish the flavors could be a bit better.

This place has a great riverside location with very friendly wait staff. The 4 Stars are because the place seems a bit forgotten and outdated. Oh and the bartender does not know how to make a Cosmo. The food was just okay also not amazing. The 1 thing that made the entire visit worth it was the dessert “Fried Cheesecake” HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
