STOP HERE NOW!!! This place is fabulous… everything from the food to the view. We had the shrimp and crab dip (only recommendation, I’d add lemon, so ask for a side of them), pecan crusted catfish, tuna melt and bread pudding. The pecan crusted catfish I was skeptical… but the crunch they get on it is wonderful (I only know one way to eat fried catfish and that’s with coleslaw, tartar sauce and hot sauce… it didn’t disappoint). It was just delicious, so do yourself a favor and give it a shot!

Cobalt is a restaurant, but originally it’s a color whose meaning is associated with calmness, often symbolizing luxury and tranquility. You’re surrounded by calming blues in Cobalt the restaurant at Alabama Point, right next to the Perdido Bay Bridge, just beautiful blue watery-hues everywhere to be seen. Sit outside when weather permits, and ask for a window table when it’s hot. We actually watched Cobalt being built while staying at Caribe one winter, we’ve been patrons that long, and it’s maintained the same top notch level of service and good food since the beginning. Our favorites are the Firecracker Shrimp and the Shrimp Po’Boy Sandwich. Get the shrimp. They do shrimp really well. Their bakery at the front has excellent sweets. Their bathroom is so nice. The bar stays busy. The whole restaurant stays busy – especially in summer- but they have tons of seating. Live music is a bonus. Cobalt is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. It’s a coastal Alabama must do.

Spectacular views, especially at sunset sitting outside!
They offer a special menu from 4-7 with a great value for smaller portions between lunch/dinner).
Food was good, service was beyond excellent. Plenty of seating from bar to booths to outside patio.
Definitely worth a stop here & enjoying a good meal.
Also have a nice sized gift shop with sweets & jewelry/shirts type items.

Was looking for a place that was different and something unique to the area. Was referred to this restaurant and can say it was amazing! Food, service and staff was outstanding! I had the BBQ Gulf Shrimp as an appetizer and Bronzed Grouper for the entree. Sooooooooo good!!!!! Had a virgin piña colada and for dessert I had the Creole Cheesecake. Just so good that it’ll fill you up! My server Kyle was awesome! Very friendly and attentive. The host Amber was very friendly and helpful along with Savannah in the gift shop. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you for the amazing food and service!

Tried Cobalt for the first time during a December trip to Orange Beach and it exceeded expectations. Even with a 45-minute wait, there was plenty of seating and a fun souvenir area to check out. I had the bronzed Gulf grouper and my wife ordered the fried shrimp—both were fantastic, and the grouper was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return on our next trip!

Good place to stop for the view. Servers were nice but not super attentive. Lobster bisque had weird pieces of corn kernel stuff in it, not enjoyable to eat. Filet was ok but mashed potatoes were dry and too smokey. Kudos for the crab! It’s a one and done for me.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday and everything was amazing. Amber was great! And the food was amazing. Everything was fresh. The creole casino oysters and zydeco chicken were delicious. I also received the cutest cupcake also baked fresh!

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. Loved the outdoor seating by the marina. Being gluten free was nice to have a lot of choices. Great wine selection too. Of course the crème brûlée was my favorite!

My wife & I hit up Cobalt for the first time on a Sunday evening about 7pm. Here’s how it went:
Wait Time: Initially we were told that the wait for indoor tables was 20-30 min and outdoor tables was about an hour. We elected to wait for indoor tables and then went to the bar to get a couple of drinks. She got the white Sangria & I had an Old Fashioned. While she was somewhat disappointed in her drink, I enjoyed mine. We only sat at the bar for about 10 minutes, then were notified our table was ready.
Service: Our waiter was a friendly guy and provided good service during our visit. He made recommendations and had a great attitude.
Food: The wife ordered the Zydeco Chicken and I asked for the Bronze Grouper. Both dishes were excellent. Fresh ingredients and great flavor.
Atmosphere: Lively, but not deafening. We were about to talk easily and still be heard. The decor and layout of the restaurant is very good. Clean, and a great view from windows inside to the water past the outdoor seating area.
Overall, we rate Cobalt at 5 Stars. We are likely to visit them again.
