Great food with great service. Family run business that takes great care of you and caters to all your needs. The staff were very polite and checked up on us multiple times. Been to this place multiple times over the past 5 years and have not been disappointed once. 10/10 would recommend anyone try this place if they like Thai food. Definitely hits the spot.

this place has realy good food and they give you large portions. I had the sweat and sour chicken with broccoli and it was amazing. could only eat half and took half home for later. The service was fast and very professional, kept refilling my drink when only half empty, didn’t have to wait thirsty like other places. Very spicy food and very good. if you like spicy food this is the place for you.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the chicken pad Thai, crab rangoons, and the daily soup (a hearty beef-and-rice soup—wish I’d caught the name). Everything came out in a timely manner, piping hot, and stayed that way.
The soup was deeply flavorful with a rich, soy broth. The chicken pad Thai was the perfect spice level—present but never overpowering—and the tamarind sauce was glossy, tangy perfection. Hands down the best crab rangoons I’ve had in years: crispy shells, creamy filling, and zero grease.
Service was spot-on. Didn’t catch our server’s name, but she kept waters topped off and plates cleared without hovering. She was knowledgeable about the menu (we had a lot of questions at the table due to a food allergy) Food came out in minutes, no lag.
If you’re in Wyandotte, skip the chains and head to Coastal Thai. Quick, delicious, and genuinely friendly—already planning my next visit!

Nice location, food, service. I enjoyed trying a new Thai, and Yang from Gaylord, Mi recommended this restaurant to me while visiting there. Super great choice Yang! I enjoyed my drunken noodles with tofu (super good tofu). Will definitely visit again and try something different for the pallet. Thanks for a great experience. Also, the soup that accommodated the lunch was a special treat. I added fried dumplings to my order. A good portion for the money. Parking can be a bit challenging across the street so be prepared bto park elsewhere and walk.

Its hard to pick a favorite since everything I’ve had i really liked! The staff is phenomenal. The parking sucks. If Thai is what you’re after this is a must try. I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed a spot I frequent so much! You can’t go wrong with Coastal Thai. Wyandotte was lost without it during the “dark days” so when it made a resurgence in 2022 I’ve been a regular. I rotate between a few favorites.
Pad Seeiew: Wide rice noodles stir fried with broccoli and egg in sweet brown sauce
Drunken Noodle: a delicious noodle dish with fresh veggies and my favorite Thai basil
Pad Thai Curry: a classic version of pad Thai with a sweet and spicy curry sauce! It’s so so good!
Bangkok fried rice: I get this when I can’t decide what protein I want since it comes with shrimp and chicken and deliciously sautéed veggies and rice.
Masaman Curry: probably the thing I order most. A delicious light coconut curry with peanuts, potatoes, and onion. One time they didn’t have potatoes so I just got mixed veggies and it was so good!!
As far as appetizers, I think they have the best spring rolls and the dumplings are so delicious!

This restaurant is one of our favorite places to have dinner. It is excellent if you like Thai food, large menu with great choices, beautiful inside, open ceiling with nice open space, immaculately clean and the staff are all so pleasant and helpful answering questions. Husband and I both ordered one of their noodle dishes and we started with the fried dumplings with side sauce. I had Pad Thai Curry noodles with shrimp and hub had the Vonsen noodles with beef with a side of white rice. Our dinners were as usual, delicious and a generous portion. We had a great dinner and prices are reasonable for the food they serve you. Our waitress was great and took good care of us. Come to Wyandotte and try this place, it’s truly a real gem!!! Food comes out super quick even when the restaurant is full. takes just 15-20 mins for food to come out. I love their food everything is delicious and the vibes are great. One of my favorite thai places now. The lovely workers are also very friendly and welcoming.

I ate here yesterday and was very satisfied. While it was not my first time having food from this place, it was the first time that I sat in and had a full dinner.
Keep in mind that this place does not serve alcohol. Therefore, I got the tea.
The person that I was with suggested that I get the vegetable tom yum, which is a sweet and sour soup consisting of mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro, baby corn, and I believe pak choy. The vegetables tasted very fresh and broth had a very nice flavor as well. You could definitely taste sour tint to it, which I liked.
The person that I was with also ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer, which are grilled chicken breasts served with peanut butter sauce. These are very good and pretty reasonable prices; 4 for 10.
For an entre, I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai (moderate spice). It had noodles, bean sprouts and chicken. It had great flavor. The portion size was quite large as well.
On a different occasion, one of my friends let me try the gang gai from his carryout. I found that to be even better than the pad thai.
Overall, this place is probably some of the best Thai food around. It’s reasonably priced and they give you large portions.
