Coastal Fog is completely unexpected. It’s a mix of cafe, wine bar, regular bar, bakery, sweet treat stop, gourmet deli, high-end gift shop & perfect place to while away a couple of hours.
Highlights:
The decor is fabulous.
The selection of gifts, art, toiletries and furniture is expertly curated.
The bird cages in the back are delightful.
The kids play area is genius.
Room for improvement:
I’ve had three meals here and so far all items have been average with one experience absolutely sub-par. (Avoid the in-house baguettes if they still offer them).
The price point is a touch high but the atmosphere makes it worth it.
This is a great place to bring family from out of town.

Kind of a cool place. It’s basically a shop with food served. Lots of artistic items for sale and very good coffee. Had the Captain sandwich which was very good.

My experience here was fantastic! My roommate and I came to have a study session and grab a coffee and this was the perfect atmosphere to do so. The staff were efficient, welcoming and personable. My favorite part was the environment with the fountains of water, the birds, and the fairy lights making it feel safe and comfortable to study at. While waiting for my drink I strolled around the store and appreciated that they supported and sold other local business crafts which represents a community. It was a very easy to navigate layout as they had signs everywhere with menus, pricing, and where to go. My overall experience was amazing and I for sure will be returning!

This cafe was such a neat place! It felt quiet/cozy and spacious/airy all in one! The atmosphere is calm and restful even tho there’s lots of people around!

We hosted my mother’s surprise 60th in the gallery room and had a wonderful experience. Amanda was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and was easy to coordinate with. She made great food and beverage suggestions that allowed us to make the most of our budget. We had more than enough food (all of which was delicious) and didn’t have to do any work ourselves regarding the venue/set up. Our guests loved the atmosphere of the private room as well as the ability to explore the rest of the market, grab a coffee from the cafe, etc. Amanda and the rest of the coastal fog team were very accommodating and we would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to host an event there.

Simply breathtaking as soon as you walk through the front door!
The decor is stunning, everywhere you turn, there’s something to see without it be cluttered. Lunch was amazing – I got the ferrier with ham. It was warm & definitely makes you do a happy dance at first bite with the tantalizing flavors dancing on your taste buds!
The parking lot was packed but when walking in, there’s enough room for everyone that there was no crowd to be seen. Some were reading, studying or just socializing.
(Love that they incorporated a spot for the kiddos to play & even have a kids menu. Only suggestion would be to have a family restroom to change the kiddos. (I noticed this when a mom entered the restroom & no where to assist the kiddo.)

The decor and vibe are calming, relaxing, and peaceful.
They also sell high-quality and interesting home decor and homeware. It really is inspirational to walk through this graceful, well designed shop.
I saw that they often host a variety of workshops, which I would have loved to attend if we lived closer.
The spacious venue is well designed. They also have a non-intrusive children’s area, making families feel welcome and at home.
This place has stolen my heart and has become my favorite place in North Carolina. Will definitely recommend this to anyone heading out that way. And will make a point of stopping by each time we visit the town.

I absolutely love Coastal Fog! From the moment I walked in, the peaceful, coastal atmosphere swept me away. The mix of high-quality home goods, curated gifts, and delicious food makes this place a must-visit. I loved the fresh squeezed market orangeaid I was recommended. All of the staff was so kind and welcoming. I also appreciated their support of local makers and attention to detail in everything they offer. The branding is consistent across their beautiful store, website, and Instagram. I’ll definitely be back soon!

A beautiful relaxing venue to host a baby shower. The food was outstanding. We selected the Charcuterie Boardwalk & Above Board, Charleston Cheese and Spinach & Artichoke dips, fruit tray and cupcakes. We were able to personalize the space with bringing our own baby items. Rylee from Coastal Fog was absolutely fantastic with assisting in planning the event.
